It was set in a historical setting (I think Japan) and MC I believe was either a swordsman or traveller. There was a strong red-haired bandit or something who intercepted and captured him and that’s all I can remember. I think the series itself was shounen ai?
EDIT: It was a pretty long series for BL, too, maybe around 20-30 chapters? Don’t think it was fantasy.
