sorry but this thread is FAIL

The random Questions like this are what probally gave your whole reason for being on this site. Starting with asking what is the very nature of the universe ? it starts there and expanded and i'm sure someone back then said something similar why ask that question why not just say that the universe just is and you should accept it.

Which Brings to my next Question of when we are asking this question , how are we judgeing what is smart and what is not ? is it knowledge ? is it the ability to Quickly figure puzzles out, to count quickly (how fast you can count ) or maby it's how creative you are, some people are extremely creative with 1 subject but fail at another altogether , maby it is just common sence?again i ask how do you judge what is "smart" . and does Testing something and watching what it does , considered smart? some breakthroughs have happened like that without anyone really thinking about it beforehand

I would like to mention that Human society as a whole is smart , if we did not pass our knowledge down the line those who you may consider smart are not all that smart anymore are they?

My answer to the smartest person on the earth is no one and everyone , they all play their part to elevate the person next to them to the next level.

i think i said to much 🙁

Btw Example of different aspects of intelligence ? Who's to say that Michelangelo isent as smart as albert einstein ? Just Food for thought when you pick who is the smartest person , I mean you could even pick a politian or an econimist , every single fictional book writer or movie producer , actor etc.everything requires some form of intelligence.

Well, to me, smart does not mean the same as intelligent.
Smart is a combination of good humour, brains, empathy and sympathy
as well as manners. No matter how many science books someone has
written or how many Nobel prizes one has, I won't call them smart
before I've talked to them. Thus I cannot answer who is the smartest person on earth,
since I only have very little sampling to use.

smart as in book, o smart as in real world.

book smart i have to say people who work quantum physics, or engineering for people who can apply what they know to the real world.

for real world smart, look at mafia bosses, ceos who run companies into the ground and aren't removed, a mafia boss basically live in a world where he can be killed at any time for a number of reasons, and somehow allot of them make it to old age. and ceos, there was one a while ago who siphoned what 20 odd billion out of old people.

real world smart people i listed arent good people, but they put themselves in possessions where there intelligence is what makes them last as long as they do.

and bill gates isnt smart. he is lucky. he came out with things that we needed before anyone else, and went huge because of that. google people are also lucky, same with most other rich as hell people.

there are no smart people on earth... if there are, then we would not continually sacrifice the life of earth, the planet we lived in, only so we could do all those things we called life...
if u asking for the smartest species on earth, then my answer is: it's not human.

god (given he/she/it exists) is in heaven not on earth, so god doesn't count.

Living? I dunno. 'Smart" is a pretty subjective term, and I'm honestly less inclined to select scientists than I am artists.

If the dead count, I cast a vote for Dostoevsky or Yeats.

Stephen Hawking, I guess. He understands all these complicated things about physics, space etc. He can write a book explaining some of these things in a way so simple that even I can understand them. And he's got a sense of humour. People who don't aren't really smart.

god (given he/she/it exists) is in heaven not on earth, so god doesn't count.

Also, god isn't smart. God is, supposedly, omniscient. So he knows everything. A smart person is someone who easily processes new information and thus learns fast. If you know everything from the start, you are neither smart nor dumb.
Furthermore, god isn't a person. A person is a physical someone who occupies a place in time and space. God is, again supposedly, omnipresent. He has no place, because he is everywhere.

Personally, I'm a big fan of Schopenhauer.

Why is everyone giving me abstract ideas... when i mean smart... I meant really intelligent or really high iq... things like that. Nothing to do with gods and stuff. 😐

As soon as I saw this thread I knew I'd post the same thing but it seems you beat me to it.
I don't think there is any point in explaining why, especially when the person who started this thread would not understand the reasoning in any case.
