I lie all the time about really insignificant things. In high school the only thing I remember lying about consistently was practicing my French horn. And the trombone. And doing my homework...hmm...when I say it all at once like that it seems like a lot. Well, now when I lie it's usually to my friends, so the lies are more like excuses for why I can't hang out. "I'm reading manga" does not work well, surprisingly.

Yesterday when I told my parents that I was studying all day for my finals so that I could get the car today, when in fact I was reading manga and on here all day.

I can't keep a straight face when it comes to lying. I attempt to keep a serious look on my face so they'll believe me... but, I end up laughing because I just can't keep a serious face.

The last time I attempted to lie was... a number of years ago. I was at my girlfriend's parent's house. It was right after getting our tattoos. She really didn't want her parents to know until after it had healed so she told me to make sure they didn't end up seeing mine or hers. I completely forgot I even had it done and bent over. My shirt road up high enough for her dad to catch a glimspe of it. Then he nailed me with a straight stare and said, "What is this? And did my daughter get one too?" I tried to be really serious and keep myself from laughing. Well, I tried so hard to keep from laughing that my eyes started crossing. 🤣 Needless to say, he found out and bout blew a gasket. And she was really pissed at me... and sadly I was in the dog house for a number of days.

If it weren't for the gutter, my mind would be homeless.

Hmm.... I don't really remember if I've lied in the past week... I've been too much of a hermit recently to lie (damned finals). The latest lie I can remember was claiming I couldn't go bowling with my friends because my grandfather from out of province was here visiting --- he really was/is here... I just didn't see him that day, instead I read manga and attempted (and failed) to complete some reading for a class.

Can you imagine an imaginary menagerie manager imagining managing an imaginary menagerie?

Last time I lied was more than 6 months ago, everyday when I wake up I blame myself for doing it and now I can't come clean with it and tell the truth 😢
