Manhwa styles similar?

So I have read some manhwas and i was wondering why they have similar styles. For example, the art is similar, and the characters. The girls is obnoxious, loves to pig out, aggressive, and rude. The main male character on the other hand are also obnoxious, mean, jerks, and aggressive. The art is also similar and the color choices for the covers are also same. Am I being ignorant by saying this? Or is this true? Anyways I have noticed this in the ones I have read. Can someone help explain how these manhwas work. Why don't manhwa writers and artists have their own individual style? please explain. I am sorry if I sound ignorant, but please excuse that.
Every culture has its own characteristics.
We can find similarity too in manga (we called it cliche, typical, etc). But because manga industry is a lot bigger than manhwa, so they have more variety in stories, characters, and artstyles.
I think manhwa-ka have more variety in term of artstyles nowadays.
For example, Savage Garden different with Shin Angyo Onshi  too obvious. I think you read most of Han Yu Ri or Hwang Mi Ree's.
And for characters, may be because of their cultures that a male is "cool" to be aggressive, jerk (This is only my hypothesis) and so on.

A lot of manhwa I've read have similar art, but since it's good art i don't mind; as for the character traits, it concerns the author and their preferences. The characteristics of the main or supporting characters has nothing to do with the fact that it is a manhwa.

It's economics. What is popular... or what the market demands sells.

Did you notice that most of the shoujo manhwa scanlated today is all by the same person?
Though... this seems a bit rantish... and a repeat.

I think you read most of Han Yu Ri or Hwang Mi Ree's.
^Maybe that's why. Hwang Mi Ree has like 100+ series or something O_O!
I don't know. I usually skip manhwha's that I don't like so It may be a little true. I can ask the same thing for why some shojo mangas are similar, too. @_@ But manhwha do have their own style and stories.

[Pig Bride](http://www.mangaupdates.com/series.html?id=19650)
+ Alot more...@_@
So yeah, they do have their own style and uniqueness . We just need to look a bit harder to find them, since there's more manga than manhwha that are translated. O:
(Also remember that we're only expose to manhwhas that are translated so we wouldn't really know about the manhwas that aren't translated. So unless we learn Korean, we'll just have to make do~)

If the only manhwa you read is written by Hwang Mi Ri... Nearly all of her characters are identical. I haven't read very many manhwa, but two that I've recently read (that are VERY different from Hwang Mi Ri's style) are The Bride of the Water God and WA! . The Bride of the Water God is ongoing, and WA! is complete. As far as I can tell, the only similarities between the two of them is that they're read from left to right. The art is totally different, as are the personalities of the characters.
