Air Rifle's. No kidding none And all these other dangerous tools I seem to have in my house for DIY stuff laugh

2) You must find a place to hide and rally survivors. You'll need supplies and a defensible location. What place do you pick? Basically, choosing your base.
Huge department store

3) You can scout out some local buildings/facilities for supplies and equipment for your "base". Where will you get them?
Go into every shop close to the department store and get stuff from there laugh

4) Tell me what your Plan B is. Basically, your escape plan when zombies are breaching your base.
Escape from the basement and run XD

1. A crowbar, matches, an axe and a backpack filled with first aid and food. Maybe a knife, too.

2. My school. It lies pretty much in the middle of the city, so there won't be any trouble finding supplies, and it has lots of hiding spaces. Only problem, it has at least five entrances. Thankfully, if you make your way to the fourth floor and to classroom number 416 or so, there's an emergency exit/staircase just outside the window, and only one entrance.

3. There are at least 30 different shops in less than half a kilometer from the school, and if you can make it further, there is a shopping center not too far away.

4. That's a good question... I guess I'd take the emergency stairs, steal a car or bus and drive out in the sticks. At least there wouldn't be as many zombies there...

Well, as soon as possible I'd be ditching my household weapons for something that was actually intended to be a weapon. For the time being, I have access to a plethora of sports equipment, and could easily make various minor explosives from chemicals we have lying around. The best weapons would be our cars though.

2) You must find a place to hide and rally survivors. You'll need supplies and a defensible location. What place do you pick? Basically, choosing your base.

There would be several stages of bases. The first depends largely on what time of day this outbreak occurred. I liked the shopping mall suggestion, but the only way that would be viable is if it occurred when the mall was closed. Otherwise that place would be a death trap. Basically the first base has to be a place to rally local survivors inconspicuously, since most people won't have access to real weapons. Ideally it should also have some sort of 'better' weapons available. Might as well make the first base the armory in fact. So... A weapons dealer. Second stop is the nearby military compound. That will provide access to some vehicles made for zombie smashing, as well as potential food transports. Third stop is supplies. Best case scenario is getting to one of the nearby distribution centers and stealing a few of their semis loaded with food. Alternatively, Costco and Sam's Club would provide big bulk packages of food that doesn't like to expire.

Last base is up the canyon. The mountains would be a perfect place to avoid zombies for however long it takes for them to starve/get dehydrated and die off.

3) You can scout out some local buildings/facilities for supplies and equipment for your "base". Where will you get them?

Oops, already answered this in #2.

4) Tell me what your Plan B is. Basically, your escape plan when zombies are breaching your base.

Well if it occurs at my house, it's just a matter of running over any zombies with my car. Same with the other stops. If it's in the mountains... Psh, zombies would break their limbs trying to get into the mountains, thus making them harmless and unable to actually form a legitimate threat.

1) You can choose things to defend yourself with from your house. What do you pick?
Baseball bat, sword, handgun, machete, and an axe.

2) You must find a place to hide and rally survivors. You'll need supplies and a defensible location. What place do you pick? Basically, choosing your base.
A huge store that has everything we would need in terms of food, water, clothing, weapons, and things to keep us entertained when we didn't want to think about zombies (Somewhere like Wal-Mart)

3) You can scout out some local buildings/facilities for supplies and equipment for your "base". Where will you get them?
Go to every store that's by us (Though if we're using Wal-Mart as our base, we won't need to go searching for things like that for months)

4) Tell me what your Plan B is. Basically, your escape plan when zombies are breaching your base.
Go through the back entrance or the front entrance of the base (Depends on where the zombies attack from)

1) Swiss army knife, boken, meat cleaver, plumbers wrench, lighter fluid, work gloves, hand saw, rope and duct tape.

2) Appalachian mountains, away from population centers. There I can make makeshift gear out of the woods and scavenge for food.

3) Sports supply store. Get hunting, camping and fishing equipment as well a decent supply of weapons. Bow and arrows will be useful for silent kills. I can even get some light armor if I'm lucky. Don't need as much in terms of initial food supplies since my home is well stocked in portable shelf stable goods already.

4) If the mountains become too hazardous I'll look to move south for warmer climates and greener pastures. If possible, I'll scout out waterways to obtain a yacht with a sail.

1) A sniper riffle, knife, and hatchet.

2) I'd pick a tower. It a high view point so I can see everything from my base. Of course I'd destroy the stairs and keep the elevator, but if worse comes to worse I'll have to destroy that as well. I would not want to pick a mall where there will be too many people. Not only is that an easy target but there will definitely be a lot of confrontation within the group.

3) From local stores especially the sporting goods store.

4) I'll climb down using a rope. I'll set the base on fire before I leave to take down those zombie bastards.

1) Axe, air cannon and the assorted home made grenades I could make in a few minutes.

2) The old army base near my house, it's only used for storage but there are still a few jeeps and tanks and even some light artillery.

3) The grocery store and hardware store, there are art least half a dozen that are extremely close.

4) Get in the nearest jeep and head north to the active army bases.

1) Knives (both cooking and pocket ones), machete, baseball bat, screw drivers, crowbar, metal pipes -- essentially whatever I can get my hands on in my house. Like spawnblade said though, there's also always the cars parked in my garage/driveway.

2) There's a sporting goods store near where I live. I always see a lot of guns and knives, though I'm not too sure about ammo....

3) The sporting goods previously mentioned just so happens to be in a plaza with a crapload of fast food restaurants, an electronics store (for communication purposes), and a supermarket in it. And there is also another electronics store, a hardware store, and other stores within walking distance if any more supplies are needed.

4) Plan B is simply get in a vehicle pre-loaded with food, weapons, and other necessities, get on the freeway, and get the **** away from there.

1) Automatic Shotgun.
2) Airport, Air Traffic Control Tower.
I can see anything coming for miles. I'd seal the main entrances as well.
3) Everything is already there. Except some welding irons I'll need to seal the doors.
4)Plan B. GET TO THE CHOPPA!

O by the way doc, How is this different from this topic?

Same thing, different ways of asking it.

A shovel, 1 shotgun, 3 pistols, 1 high powered rifle, a backpack full of ammo

A smallish island somewhere in the pacific.

Swim to a new island. I'm pretty sure I can outswim a zombie and have enough endurance to swim till I find a new island

1) You can choose things to defend yourself with from your house. What do you pick?

I would grab my guitar, kitchen knives, matches, frying pan, tea pot and tea, book, and my computer monitor (32' in tv).
2) You must find a place to hide and rally survivors. You'll need supplies and a defensible location. What place do you pick? Basically, choosing your base.
I would meet up with three of my friends (4 of us in total) and make our way to my friend's dad's gun shop and proceed to arm ourselves with rifles, fully automatics, hand guns, and a shit ton of ammo. Then we would proceed either to price cutter, then orshlens (farm supply store) and steal food and seeds. Then we would either go to our high school, which is a three story giant prison looking thing, or drive out to the middle of fucking no where and set up camp. We would then set up a walls to keep the zombies out. Then we would assign watch duty in turns to each of us, then we would take the seeds and plant them. We would use the food we took to keep us alive until our crops are ready to harvest.

3) You can scout out some local buildings/facilities for supplies and equipment for your "base". Where will you get them?

Gun store, Orshlens and price cutter. Seeds from orshlens and food from price cutter.
4) Tell me what your Plan B is. Basically, your escape plan when zombies are breaching your base.
Plan b is too get into a car and run to the next town (preferably a small town) and repeat what we just did.
