I don't know exactly how many, but it happens. My friend got close though; he got a 4.8... plus national merit. The valedictorians at my school nowadays get really close to 5.0.

First of all, US high schools take a lot of subjects! I only take 6 and by the time I get to my last year of high school, I may drop one and take 5 instead and get a free period.
Secondly, you're OLD. Not old old. You get the point. But, I should've expected it because you mentioned you attend Law School.

i think i had 7 classes a day my Freshman and sophomore years and 6 my junior and senior years but by no account do i mean i took all those in 1 year,those were over a course of 4 years and those weren't all my classes but the only ones I remember

I know I had 4 Math classes,4 English classes,4 science classes and 4 history classes-Gah im getting old T_T

I only have 5 periods a day with 6 subjects in a 6 day cycle. 7 classes is obviously more that 5 classes a day.

When i was in high School you took you 6 or 7 classes divided into 50 min segments for either the entire Year or for 1 semester and if the class was a semester class you took another semester class after it

Ah, yep makes sense. Our periods are an hour long. We have 25 mins interval after 2 morning periods, then a 50 minute lunch break after 3rd period.
So, it's like this:
Period 1
Period 2
Interval
Period 3
Lunch
Period 4
Period 5

Sometimes last period is shorter when a teacher has crossing duty and needs to leave early (YAY!!) or we miss half of fourth period because it's our turn to have rubbish duty (sucks but at least we waste 30 mins...heh...) Not all of the time though.

Our timetable goes for the whole year. We run in terms. So there's four terms a year with holidays in between.

2nd period
3rd period
4th period
Lunch
5th period
6th period
7th period
Leave

Lunch is your only break,you get 4 minutes to get to and from each class

o.O I'm quite surprised, honestly. At least we get 5 mins to move between classes but that time is counted in our periods so we gotta move fast. We have a teacher that walks around with his signature right-hand-on-hip, left hand holding his cane and plastic bag attached to his shorts whistling and rounding us like sheep....T.T I get the point. I know we have 40 million sheep. But us students don't have to be treated like sheep....

Anyway, we're getting a little off-topic, aren't we?

I dont know,i think the students are more like a herd of wolves,they can be quite vicious

You guys don't know how lucky you are that you go to a school that offers AP classes/ a weighted GPA. My parents won't let me attend a traditional public high school because of some bad experiences they had as children, so they put me into this freakin' tiny school with 200 kids in it that doesn't offer AP classes. The highest level they offer is CP, which is basically no different then regular, except it has a fancier name.

My class schedule is similar to Syrus.

Period 0 (I'm on student council, and we meet zero period.)
Period 1
Period 2
Period 3
Lunch
Period 4
Period 5
Period 6

With classes being 45 minutes long each, with a 20 minute lunch break. We have 5 minutes to walk to our classes. I'm taking 8 classes this year. >< (PE doesn't have its own period; you just do it after school)

Up until last year I followed this schedule in highschool:

M1
M2
M3
M4
Lunch
S1
S2
S3
S4

M for morning (matin)
and S for the afternoon (soir)

Each class and lunch were 55minutes
We had a 10minutes break between M2 and M3, and a 5 minutes break between S2 and S3
When a class end, you have 5 minutes to get to the next one. When the 5minutes are done, if you're not in class you have another 5minutes to get there (and apologize) before being considered late.

In my school we have two schedules, For the Elementary and for the Superior (?). Each period is 50min.Lunch is 45 min. On chapel day, periods are 45 min. Chapel goes before lunch, so the period at that hour is moved after lunch. We don't have time in between to make changes, so sometimes teachers get angry when the one before takes their time (they think we just wonder around). Ever since I'm at the school, Elementary had the Superior schedule, until last year (I don't know why did they exchanged it) of course, without the 10min break after Period 6. 🤣

Elementary goes like this: 10min reflection time, Period 1, 15min break, Period 2, Period 3, lunch, Period 4, Period 5, Period 6, 10min break, Period 7.

Superior: 10min reflection time, Period 1, Period 2, 15min break, Period 3, Period 4, lunch, Period 5, Period 6, Period 7.

Oh, and can somebody explain to me what are AP classes and such, I really don't understand. 😕 Thank you in advance! 🙂

A2-Geometry
A3-English II
&&Lunch only 30min
A4-World History

next day
B1-Chemistry
B2-Painting II
B3-Interior Design
&&Lunch
B4-Communication Application...
then repeat to Aday...
so yea i only have 8 clases but 4 one day then 4 the other day... yea complicated....
