Android application developement for this site
Read following, before voting, please
Hello guys, my name is Vladimir, I'm 20 years old and currently I live in Russia.
For the past 20 years I spent some time learning different programming languages and now wanted to test my skills and develop android app for the site we all love (this one of course) and here I am posting my first, and surely not last, message here.
On app:
The app will be supported and updated unendingly. When I have free time - I am programming, so this will recieve bugfixes and new features constantly.
Why advertising: it's a way for me to earn money for what i've done. If no advertising I would like to release not only the free version, but "supporter" version as well. It probably won't give you any advantages over users on free version, so that's why I initially wanted to add ads in menus.
If "i would use, no ads please" or any with "i will buy for X dollars" will be more than "ads" one (in summary) for sure there will be app with no ads. Even if I won't receive any money at all. It's not altruism, I decided to make app by myself, and no one has to pay for it.
Feel free to ask any questions, i will try to honestly answer them all.
On people:
I will create this with my brother probably(he doesn't know this yet muhahaha, but he won't refuse 🙂 ). He is 16, but good at coding multiple kinds of things. He even had his little platformer-like game, as a practice. Feel free to offer any kind of help, all is appreciated.
On other things:
I'm studying at university right now, so this June I have exams. Probably work for most of the June will be suspended. Also I will start developing this even if all answers will be "i don't want to use it", but it's good to know statistics for me 🙂
Thanks for reading article voting in my poll! 😀
Upd: some little fixes in grammar and capital letters
As i found out, someone back in 2013 tried to make android app, so if anyone knows what's the situation out there i would like to know too.

I'm currently working on an API. This should make this task easier.

May I ask how the progress of the creation of the API is going?

I've made an app for this site. It is not as fully featured as the site itself, but I'm at the stage now where I'm happy to show it to the public.
I'm open to feedback, and I'll do my best in improving it. 🙂

We are currently focused on redoing the front end. Unfortunately, things move kind of slow because we are volunteer run. We do have that API now though, which should make it easier for someone to implement an app.
