Man, even online tests are pidgeon-holing me.

I got INTP but I think the accuracy of these types of tests are really just what type of person you perceive yourself to be.

Too right. Last time I took one of these tests was years ago. Back when I was depressed.I got a different answer then. Partially anyway. If anything I'm even more introverted than I used to be.
Oh yeah, I got INTP on both tests this time around. Seems to fit what I actually do and what career I've chosen for myself and I'm a little surprised that two tests agreed with each other fo r once.o__o

I got INTJ the last time I took it (maybe 2 years ago). I was sure I'd get that again, but I took the test and got INTP. 😐 Yeah, that's way different than INTJ. 🙄

I agree. I dare say many young people have trouble perceiving themselves - I consider myself one. Mayhaps we overcontemplate and confuse ourselves

It's less for the individual and more for data reference for group activities. A company, for instance, might want to know how a person would interact with coworkers while hiring, and tests like this theoretically provide cold data that reduces human behavior to predictable patterns.

Naturally, there are limits to the accuracy of these tests, especially when they're both taken online and in a non-professional setting. I do think that psychological testing can be conducted in an accurate fashion, but a dinky online test is not really a reliable source of information, in addition to the problems posed by the limitations of the system (i.e. a person might score the bare minimum to get an "N" classification, which would likely mean that they share tendencies with both N and S types, but the results don't really show that).

I also want to point out that the majority of people questioning the integrity of the test got an INTP result... kind of an odd coincidence, don't you think?

Not a coincidence at all, if you understand and believe the M-B interpretations of NTs. (Heard too much research on the M-B types.)
