There's this one yaoi that I recall reading once, but I just can't find it.

I remeber that the seme was a high school student. His has a strict father and a stepmother who cares for him. There is this one part where the seme was getting distracted from his school work (probably from hanging out with the uke too much) and he was either not ranked first for his test scores, he didn't get a 100, or something similar to that. His father then yelled at him and the stepmother said something along the lines of that he shouldn't be yelling at his son since no one can get perfect scores all the time. There is another scene in which the seme is walking home from somewhere (probably school) and he was getting soaked from the rain. When he arrived at the front of his house, his stepmother was outside with an umbrella, waiting for him to come home. I'm not too sure about this, but the seme might be in the student council. I think he has darker colored hair and is tall.
