Here is the ranking of the last Weekly Shonen Jump mangas. Enjoy !

When 'NA' : manga not published in the magazine for the week.

Edit : I've taken these infos from http://www.scantrad.fr I'll try to make a weekly update for the rankings and maybe some for other magazines as well

Wow. The rankings are not consitent at all for so many of those manga (except naruto and one piece)

Bakuman, a comic very much about rankings, has quite large jumps and falls in it's own rankings!

@kekpew : hunter x hunter have one of the highest reputation in the manga world and its tankoubon are selling really well, so no cutting

@BlackOrion : sketdance is so much more popular in japan than it is in the us or in europe...this is inevitable. I'm not a big fan, can't bring myself to read past the 100 chapter or so, tried it 5 or 6 times though...

@jasonred : the ranking (as explained in bakuman) are up every week and, except for the big hits like one piece, naruto, toriko, etc, the rank really reflects the chapter of the past week only.

Seems like Toriko is doing pretty good, maybe people should start calling it one of the big three instead of bleach, though the name "big three" is probably more based in western popularity.

Maybe i should check out Toriko when i get some time.

Why do they include the mangas with no release for the week in the ranking?
for example, here-> Gintama is ranked 22, but if I'm not mistaken, there was not chapter of Gintama is this week's jump, so of course it's gonna rank low !
So, anyone know why they don't let out the mangas not published in the magazine for the week? Wouldn't that make a more relevant ranking?

Well, Gintama's rank doesn't mean anything for this week, it isn't taken into account for the average ranking either either.

It's just to put all of the serialized manga, even if they're absent, on the same board. This way you can see how often a manga is on hiatus, it doesn't mean they got a rank of 22nd.

Well no surprise there on Bleach, was kinda surprised that Naruto is still so high, Toriko was a pleasant surprise.

Seems appropriate to drop and forget that Bleach was one of the top three and switch with Toriko!

@Mangakou
Ok thanks, I see that now.
The usual ranking only has 21 mangas, is that it?
It makes more sense that way. I should have looked it up a bit beforehand.

Lol !!! You're so right ! But I myself prefer Bakuman ^^

@Pebble_ : usually there are the 22 mangas in the magazine and the ranking goes along. But if one or two series are on hiatus, only the 21 or 20 series left are ranked.

Btw, next week : Beelzebub on the cover + color pages; Medaka, bakuman, kurogane have color pages

Wow, i didn't know Nurahyan was unpopular in japan. It has an average of 20 with only 2 weeks ranking at 11.

Not necessarily, I think that after such a long hiatus they want to at least let the story continue...

@nesfe : Nura no Mago has never been in the best ranks for long in Japan. Sure, the bests arcs had great scores but it never stayed up. So no surprise here
