Hello! I discovered this site a few days ago and decided to join after seeing how much manga information it provides. Since then, I have fallen in love with this site. ^_^ I like how I can create lists (I don't know why I have a strange obsession with lists) so that I can keep track of the manga I read.
I started reading manga a year after I started learning English when I was seven years old. My first manga was Ranma 1/2. My English wasn't too good back then, so I couldn't enjoy it, but I got into manga again when I was ten. The obsession with manga for me goes on and off, but I will always remain a big fan~ <3
It's nice to see the wide range of manga listed here! Many of the mangas I enjoy are ones that the people around me aren't too familiar with, so I feel happy to see other people reading the same mangas that I like. =)
My current favorites include: Aka-chan to Boku, The Kindaichi Files and Nodame Cantabile (I can boast that I liked this series before the live-action appeared!). My favorite manga-kas are Fuyumi Soryou, Ai Yazawa, and Kyoko Hikawa so it is already a given that I like the mangas created by them. ^^

We're pretty similar, do you know? My first manga was Ranma 1/2 too!! ____
I really loved it, it was a kind of obsession when i was little 😛
And i think my love toward the lists is the same as yours too! Lots of coincidences here ^______^

Yay! Another Nodame fan! It's the first time I've met someone online who also reads this series. =) At another forum that I'm a part of, the thread for "Nodame Cantabile" is very dead...nobody seems to have even heard of the series. 😢

yeah i know what you mean, but did you see how many people are reading it now? check how many people have it in their reading list! Nodame Cantabile i gotta say the readers are increasing, the reason it wasn't so popular at first was the unusual artwork, it suits the series very well but at first glance you might not like it.

@ Ranmaru: Yes, I know how popular Nodame has become! ^^ The live-action drama brought a lot more attention to the series. The avatar is from the series, "Basara" by Yumi Tamura.
