Well, the worst hentai cliche, to me, is not from hentai manga, but those eroge. My problem with them is not sex, but that 99.99% of the female characters are virgins and when they have sex for the first time (with the male lead), they must bleed a lot and it must show graphically on the spot. That's totally unrealistic. OK, I guess it's a fetish of some. But how must this be the case almost everytime and why are all the players assumed to have that kind of fetish? Variety wouldn't hurt but they fail to provide variety. I don't see how that is so attractive and how every player must have that fetish (or they really do? Weird otaku.). I, as a player, find it weird but those otaku don't. 😐

What do you think? Discuss. Hentai manga, I guess I haven't read enough to really pick cliches. Those I don't like I just ignore and don't remember. 🤣

The problem with the eroge is that everyone of them is the same and looks similar. O_O Every girl is a virgin. And the blood must show. I don't get how this must be default. A fetish means it attracts some people even if it's unrealistic but why make it every case? I thought the point of eroge is the sex and character personality. But it seems that blood is the point intead. I don't get why the player must see it? Why not focus on the sex instead?

I get that those games - eroge, bishoujo, otome games, BL games, etc are supposed to make people escape from harsh reality. But how can a more realistic sexual situation be harsh reality in the ridiculous otaku brain?

Luckily, I don't think I've read a lot of hentai where the girl wants to get pregnant. 🤣

😢 they get raped and they like it... I find it annoying sometimes. And there were shoujo and hentai manga I read, when they fall in love with the rapist. It's a fantasy, I know, but ... not mine, I guess.
My favorite moment in the "Take on me" hentai manga is when boyfriend finds his girlfriend after the rape and makes a mince meat out of the culprit. I deleted the rape scene and left only that page.

I don't think it's a cliche cause I don't see it in hentai that much (It might just be me though), but when I do I get freaked the hell out. If a woman screamed that while we were having sex, I'd instantly pull out. 😐

Another cliche that I hate is the level of stupidity most characters have in those stories. I know that it's like porn where the story's only there to act as a fantasy, or to give an excuse for the characters to have sex, but they don't have to give them the IQ of a battery.

Another hentai cliche is when the girl is uncertain. And then she has this "no..." and "we shouldn't" thing going on. Like, you know the author is making her look like she knows it's wrong but she wants to. Conflict of interest. Arousing to some I suppose? Even the guys do it sometimes. That's actually more annoying than a cliche, I guess.

Everything in hentai is a cliche, but no one really notices because all your really interested in is the sex. Its just like with porn, it always has a crappy storyline but no one really cares.

Anyway back on topic, a major cliche for me is when the females always try to resist and pretend they don't like it but in the end they always get really into it. Sometimes I wonder if there really is a genre of rape in hentai because it always ends up to be consensual. 🤨

Another bad cliche I thought of is something like mewnbrite typed about people who are reluctant to do something, except it's when the women are forced to wear little to no clothing in public against their will, or when men are forced to dress like a girl. And then if they don't start to go crazy and start cumming because of people watching, then they at least get wet/hard, but then feel so horrible for getting sexually excited. That's another example about the stupidity in hentai I was talking about earlier.

This is so not true. I have played alot eroges though I prefer non erotic visual novels. And even though eroge doesn't mean it's necessarily a visual novel, that's what they usually are. And about the realism, you must remember that visual novels are ADV, not ren ai.

I know it's not supposed to be realistic. But isn't it weird that otaku are obsessed with that otherwise they can't enjoy the game or something.
