hi,
I was wondering if anyone could help me identifying a manga I can't remember the name of.
The only thing I am sure of is that it was published before 2000 and translated into Italian,I bought it second hand in Rome and lost it.
. The scenario in the issue I read was a very violent confrontation between large Demons/monsters and it was set in some kind of dystopian world.

The two main creatures battling were very distinctive ,one had a 'triceratops style head' and during the course of the battle 'the horns were ripped off'.
The other creature was demon with 'very large hands for wings'...Kind of like Sasukes transformation in Naruto,but much much nastier..
It seemed quite a sadistic piece of work with an emphasis on gore and pain of battle.

I seem to remember it having a futuristic setting and atmosphere and the artwork was pretty straight forward,there was no humor in it and no little girls.

I cant provide anymore info other than it seemed to be a very extreme comic.
I have been searching every database i can find and have come up with nothing,
please help,it is starting to drive me mad finding this title.

The only thing I can think of is Dorohedoro. Started in 2001 though.

It vaguely sounds like Gantz. Started in 2000 though.

Gantz and Berserk were my first guess. But is it Devilman I doubt it though since it's from the 70's I believe, and I've only read the first volume...

I have had a good look around some of the titles you guys have mentioned.
Eater and Blue Dragon looked like possibilities but I am finding it hard to get more info on either of those series without being linked to Soul Eater.
The Blue Dragon referenced above is presumably nothing to do with the thing in Jump at the moment,but I am finding it difficult to get any artwork examples from the 1996 series.
It is def not Devilman/amon,Gantz,Berserk,Silent Mobius, Shin Megami Tensei: If...,or

I have tried as hard as poss to remember details of this manga,
it was possibly never trans/scanlated into English,the copy I had was in Italian,so maybe I need to investigate Italian manga publishers of the 90's.

The central character in the scenario seemed to be the demon/beast with the huge hand shaped wings which it used to fight.

It was in a futuristic setting rather than a medieval one.

finally found out that it is called Fortified School,
It was seemingly only translated into Italian which is a shame because it looks awesome,and the Italians I have spoken to rate it as one of the best action horror titles ever...
All i can do is thank those who aided my search and despair for those who didn't.
They should find better uses for their sharingans.

It's no wonder it was so hard to find, your summary and the one posted here are not exactly a perfect match.

Meh, at least now I have something to read. This is where those Italian classes pay off.
