Does anyone know what happened to this author(Komi Naoshi) and if he's any other works? He seems to have dropped off the earth or something. A shame since I liked his works and asking 'cos I can't really read Japanese.

Also, if this is the wrong place to post... I apologize. 🙂

I'd like to see something new by him as well. Double Arts had its flaws, but what Jump manga doesn't?

For me, it was his ability to breath life into most of those cliches, so it was possible to overlook the rest. (I'm so jaded with the shounen genre...sighs )

I wonder if SJ had him suspended or something. 🙁

I wouldn't worry too much; a lot of authors take long breaks to prepare a new serialization.

I like most of his works but I always feel that they lack something. Maybe right now he's honing on his storytelling skill to make his story more interesting 😀

Oh well... hope to see another of his works sometime, in the future. 🙂

I'm wondering what happened too. I liked all of his works after I had read Double Arts, being discontinued, was a nice manga with a pretty good ending if you take into account that Komi Naoshi was suddenly told his manga was being discontinued because of low fan ratings.

All of his oneshots are really good too. I hope he comes back to making mangas.

It took Sugita Naoya at least four years before starting another manga.

But who knows, perhaps Komi Naoshi is planning one right now.
