So far there doesn't seem to be any hint that it's a tragedy. I'd like to know what happens if it really does become one. Does anyone know why this series is a tragedy?

I think that the tragedy aspect to the series is only being foreshadowed or indirectly introduced as of now rather than focused upon.

For example, the exposition of the grandmother's death and the apparent struggle the main character undergoes as forces himself to pretend to feel like everyone else when he honestly can't understand where those feelings come from are situations portrayed in a much darker style as compared to other chapter events; the blank space is black instead of white, the panel placement is more off-centered as opposed to the more traditional layout of the rest of the story. To wit, the reader is supposed to see this as laying the groundwork for tragic circumstances, which might come into greater play as the story continues on.

In other words, it already exists in the storyline, but we will just have to wait for more chapters to better understand that existence.

It always hits in the end. its when some times u regret reading it, but most times it has a interesting fix up meaning something is done to make it at least a good ending. idk but the story sounds gonna read it,.

I read the light novel. I don't think it's the ending that's tragic. It probably means the tragic events that take place during the story.

It's a very good and interesting series. Definitely worth reading.
