Almost looks grey in that pic. You need a better close up of your eyes and you need to look into the camera. 😛 But from that angle it looks grey. 😃 Yep definitely between light brown and grey.

You have really pretty grayish-blue eyes. Bet they change with what you wear, ne?
Oh, and nice to meet you!

It's the second time you mention that... do you seriously think that eye color can change depending on what you wear?
That's a misconception, it's just our perception of the color might change depending on the contrast provided by the colors next to it. But the color in itself can't change in 5mins... even if changes to the eye color are still possible (due to exposition to UV's), they should take just as long (probably more in fact) as it takes to someone to have a tan... because it's the same process in action.

I think that Wikipedia explains that a bit more clearly:
Quote from "Wikipedia"
**Eye color change
**
Often, Caucasian newborns have blue eyes, which change to green, hazel, light brown or dark brown, as they grow older. It is thought that exposure to light after birth triggers the production of melanin in the iris of the eye. By three years of age, the eyes produce and store enough melanin to have their natural shade. While changes in eye color of infants are more common, even in adults, eye color changes are seen, most often as a result of exposure to the sun. Sunlight triggers melanin production in the eye, as it does to the skin. People with green eyes in the winter might develop darker, more hazel eyes if they spend more time outdoors. Many people believe their eyes change color when they change their clothing, or when they change moods. These are common fallacies without basis in fact. The eye cannot produce melanin that quickly.

well... not my fault... you said the same dumb stuff twice... I couldn't hold it the second time... I HAD to post something lol...
And I know a lot of people who'd believe unreal stuff like: cutting your hair on a full moon will make it grow faster...
And on the second matter... sadly I'm one of those cowards that wouldn't dare to post on your other thread...
If I'm ever going to post something... It will be a croped image of the iris only... I don't want to do stuff as lame as that though...

He's actually correct about this cause i've had people tell me the saw all sorts of colours in my eyes (everything but blue) but never around the same time. Your eye colour can't change because of clothing. The best way is to check every night under the same lighting conditions in a mirror. I did this once a week for nearly 6 months when I was twelve. Mainly because people were always bothering me about my eyes especially girls (jealous bastards). What I noticed was that my eyes natural colour was a blended pattern of brown and yellow with a ring of grey around the pupil in the summer and in the rainier, colder months it was greenish brown with a darker ring of grey. This is probably due to intensity of the sunlight during the periods like you said. So nope I think it's impossible for eye colour to vary with clothing.
@heardtheowl- You really shouldn't call people cowards, chickens, turds and whatever else just because they are cautious about the information they give out on the internet. Just your name or telephone number and any average idiot can find your entire personal info on the internet especially if you live in places like north america and asia. I know cause I used to mess around with hacking with some friends some years back you need almost no hacking skills whatsoever to find a person once you have a name or telephone. Also you forget that this world is filled with human filth (take a look at the number of hentai series here and some of the stuff in them) Think about what some of these sick people might be doing with it. Haven't you watched dateline(HA). All the predators out there posing as teenagers and whatnot so that they can carry out their evil desires. Think about it do you really want to expose yourselves to them.(ok maybe that is a bit of an exaggeration here at mu). But the internet provides a degree of anonymity. So you should respect the right to other users privacy. Arigatou.

I am so surprised that no one has said blue. It just goes to show how difficult it is to take pictures of eyes because most people who meet her in person think her eyes look blue. Even her Grandma thinks they are blue.
Thanks so much for everyone's contribution, and the science facts were pretty interesting. I guess I'll have to wait and see some more to see if her eye color changes, since she's not even 1+1/2 years old yet.

It's true that we don't know what we've got until we lose it, but it's also true that we don't know what we've been missing until it arrives.

I'd lean more towards hazel than anything. But I'm not even sure that would really define the color.
I have boring eyes. They're a whiskey color with some yellow looking flecks in them.
I would kill for some sexy bedroom blue or green eyes though.
By the way... she is just too flippin cute.

They look hazel to me.
My green eyes seem to be gray from distance...
Others say they're blue-ish. And they do appear to be like this, depends where you look from.
Maybe that's the same with her eyes.
Hrodulf and Bjornolfr, you will not be forgotten.
