Well read until the end of volume 2 and you'll understand why it could be considered as romance, though of course it'll be a long way to go...

Can't still consider it as a romance genre, well there was a big hint but the romance part will not be there until later chapters, maybe when haruka grows up...

Yea it's more like a "potential romance" genre. Currently there is little to no romance, but there have been hints of possible relationships - but its far too early to really think too much about it.

The romance will be veeeeeery slow to build, but I'm assuming that with such high expectations, it will be well done (because that'd be something really stupid to mess up after having set it up early on). I'm pretty confident that once Haruka matures a bit, Hijikata will warm up and it'll all make cute, perfect sense (okay, maybe not cute but for those eagerly awaiting some development, it'll be enough). I'm also looking forward to seeing whether or not anything develops between Alpha and Sierra. Alpha's too badass not to get ladies hitting on him! XD

There is a bit of romance. But you never know Haruka's prediction maybe wrong although if that happens I will be really dissapointed. I want Hijikata and a grownup Haruka in the wedding dress made by her grandma kissing in a church. But it seems Hijikata has love rival because Haruka's classmate who always watches her seems to be head over heels in love with her. So she might decide Hijikata is too old for her and end up with that schoolguy. But it would really suck if that happens. I think Sierra and that commander is definitely gonna end up together. It would have been really cool if that new hot chick who came in place of Sierra showed some interest in Hijikata. It would do good for Haruka if she had a love rival

I'd say there is some, but not much, only a vague Hint of it for the future.

A girl only wanting one man to protect her, she wont accept anyone one else i think that says enough.

Like everyone else mentioned, there is a MAJOR hint you cant miss. I mean just look at the title -__- doesnt it remind you of something? 😛
Personally, i think itll be interesting to see how the romance plays out since the mangaka is guy who only seems to write shonunen. It could be very good, or very very weird.
