Wait, wait, wait! Less than 5 thousand is rural? 5 thousand? Wow. The closest town to where I live is a few hundred at most. I live a 5 minute drive outside of that town. Maybe that makes me super rural?

i live in a city with 60k~ ppl ><

but i guess in New England we have a different set of guidelines for that stuff. we determine each by their form of government where cities have mayors and a city council and towns have town meetings and a board of selectmen.

I'm not sure... Usually people refer to Toronto as the metropolitan area, which has a population of over 6m, but the city of Toronto only has 2.6m. Also, I'm surprised the really rural people even have Internet 😛

Town (5k - 10k). I had to look it up since I had absolutely no idea. The two places I lived in before had larger populations but I gotta admit I love where I live, for the most part.

I just put City(500k-1m). Even though I currently live in North Las Vegas, I've also lived in Las Vegas just a couple months ago. I pretty much treat the two if them the same at this point.

I live in the lovely, sprawling metropolis known as Montreal! 8D
Montreal's population alone exceeds that of Saskatchewan by quite some bit....[/spammy-message-is-spammy]

At 53k, my "town" is the 4th largest city in my state. (granted I'm living in a fairly rural US state, but the state capitol isn't even in the "City" category) The largest city in the state is at 750k and billed as a Metropolitan Area by the US Census Bureau.

My hometown is around 60k and is 45min outside of a small city (100k-500k). I'm currently living in a larger city (1m-5m).

I've also lived in a city that has 10 million people, which is more than some entire countries.

According to Google: 6,336. Classified as a city though. In Ohio: over 5k is a city, any less then it's a "village" (if it's a municipality).

88k, though classified as a city. Also, it's right outside Toronto, so definitely a more urban area than rural.

City 2.106m.
I've never lived in city with less than 1 million inhabitants. (Needless to say I despise rush hour commute 🤢 )

Probably depends on closeness to a bigger city, country conectivity and goverment politics. I went once to a really rural area and the state pun internet conectivity in the school.
