Alright then!

Now then, as I cannot be alone in the liking of this fantastic blend of distorted guitars, often technical drumming and mind blowing basslines - I figured I'd start this thread as it's always nice to meet people with similar interests and also in hopes that I will be able to find out the names of more awesome groups!

I can start; Rage Against the Machine was probably the group that broke me into this wonderful sub-genre of metal! I like their mix of bass slapping and charged lyrics also they have perfect tempo.

Now talk on about your favourite groups, basslines or songs. Even groups that aren't funk metal but that have awesome lyrics, one off songs and jaw dropping bass/drum/guitar solos!

What can I say, I'm a sucker for heavy bass! Dream Theater in my ears as I write this...
