I understand how Jhauk feels about religion. It really annoys us who don't believe in God, when we hear about all the hate crimes (eg, by the anti-Jewish, anti-gay etc) that occur as a result of religion. We know that this isn't what religion is all about, and it rarely happens, but the fact the religious beliefs can cause people to do such things...is frightening. Don't get me wrong, I have many religious friends, so I'm only talking about the small group of ignorant people that make all the religious look bad. 🙁

Oh, and racist people. I once got stopped outside a supermarket by a group of 'supposed adults', who asked me "Why are you buying all that? I thought you asians only ate rice!"
......ha.......ha..........ha..........it wasn't funny, and it'll never be.

Religion = Group Think. It also leads to fanaticism and zealotry...

Many/Most major wars in history have had a religious basis that has incited the 'us' vs. 'them' mentality. Reminds me a lot of political parties really, which are starting to get to be a more 'civilized' form of prejudice.

I'd even classify the dispute between Communism and Democracy to be a religious conflict as well, since all participants were treating them as if they were religions. In that regard, -every- major war the US has been involved in in the last 100 years has had some sort of religious significance. Except World War I.

Your lumping the whole lot in here. There are many types of Christians, each having differences. The ones your dealing with are quite whacked.

Yes there are some verses with message don't judge. These though refer to to talking to other Christians, telling them when they're doing something wrong. Excommunication to a non-believer should only happen if your like a murderer or something to that effect, but only to a deep socializing point. Bible says to be nice and kind to everyone.

Remember many non-believers have shunned Christians in there family too.

Yeah, I'm not hatin on all Christians. I'm just hating the whacked ones which I have dealt with a lot, so it kinda gives me a phobia of christian people. I'm fine with Christians as long as they don't try to force their beliefs on me and tell me how to live my life unless I ask them for advice. Just like I'm fine with little kids as long as they leave me alone when I don't want to wrestle with them. I guess I do believe there's a God, but I'm not so sure cause of all the people in the world suffering.

Anyway! Don't wanna post a bunch of God stuff.

More annoying ppl:

People who GASP when unnecessary. Gasping when finding a dead body = yes. Gasping when someone spills their juice = no.

People who cuss waaay too much, especially on youtube when they're trying to seem tough.

People who try to find romance in stories, when there obviously is none. i.e - fanfic writers.

Wannabe matchmakers, especially at school. Example- "Hey, Joe, like omg, I think you and so and so would make a CUUUTE couple." In other words "Hey that person is hispanic and so are you, and you're the only hispanic people in the school, so that means you must have like sooo much in common plus you would look good together cause your both hispanic, amirite?" I'm not hispanic but I'm just saying. It happens and it's stupid.

People who think/act smart when they are obviously not. I went to school with a lot of them (including my gr 12 chem teacher) and they grate on my nerves more than wet wooden spoons and styrofoam. In elementary AND highschool i got the so called "smartest kids" copying off my homework daily. go figure. (i'm not trying to brag).
