Completed preferred, not too long. I liked Uzumaki cause it was...kinda of depressing to me how the town was falling apart and everything was despairing. It didn't really scare me, I just thought it was entertaining, seeing human bodies getting all twisted and demented. It was like, you just knew that something bad was going to happen. Gore is fine, as long as they're not trying to overdo it to scare people or whatever. Like, if they're trying to hard and relying on gore to make it scary/entertaining. There has to be like a plot, not mindless killing. I've just started reading this genre so anything you suggest I most likely haven't read.

I don't know if these are suitable but they have that despair feel.

Goth is dark and a fascination with death sort of...it seems weird to me.
Godchild and Count Cain by yuki kaori has that fascination too.

Maybe some of Ito Junji works, like Tomie and Gyo

Drifting classroom and Dragon Head, but they aren't completely scanlated and the first one hadn't had releases since a while ago.

I'd read some more titles by ITOU Junji, the author of Uzumaki if you haven't already.

Nijigahara Holograph was weird in a cool way. It reminded me of Paranoia Agent.

Franken Fran is weird, it certainly has plenty of gore but I don't think it relies on it, some parts are actually pretty incite full. The style is a bit like xxxholic's earlier chapters, but it's a lot weirder.

Deadman Wonderland is also pretty wierd

neither are completed, but I think they're both worth it
