Things to do on a Vacation
So, when you go on a vacation... what do you actually do while you're on it? 😕
I haven't properly gone on a vacation, so I can't really give examples. ;-;
But I would go and try to see the sights and visit the beach a lot. o.o;;
I'll say more when I remember them!

hmm.. on the few times i went to eilat, i hung out at the pool, went to the market, beach, the aquatic museum, the mall, diving... stuff like that.
on my camping trips to the north it was mostly activities like snepling, climbing walls and bridges.. swimming in lakes, sliding from towers to water....

Wake up late. Go to beach at the hottest time of the day (it's what you get for waking up late XD), come 'home', shower, sleep/watch tv, muck around if I'm not sleepy, then explore the night life and areas around us.
That's a typical day. Sometimes we spend a whole day sightseeing at once place, then another day somewhere else.
Hey we got 3 weeks to kill. We take it nice and slow 🤣

I hate doing things on vacations, sleeping 12+ hours is a must do for my vacations. I also enjoy walks on my vacation, my ideal vacation spot would be to go to New Zealand and walk around the mountains with a back pack and just walk there for like a week or two. Without a care for the world just talking and enjoying nature.

Me too, backpacking through mountains and stuff. I rather spend my vacation somewhere with no people than on some beach or in a city.
Big cities (like Bangkok or NY) are interesting when you wake up really early to get a feeling for the place. I get up around 5 and am on the street with those going to work and blend in. Picking up the pace of the locals, walking through the streets discovering small alleys and hidden backyards....I spend most days like this, when somewhere else.
Nature is better, though.
I do all the normal tourist things first, then if I know someone in the area I'll have them take me to do some other things if they have the time. That way you see more than the surface of the place.

Well my first real vacation was when I went to Japan last Summer. My ideal vacation spot there was probably the onsen. The steam felt really nice cuz I had caught a cold before I went there and I felt a whole lot better by the time we headed off to Tokyo for the last part of the trip.

Usually, my dream vacation is to go downhill skiing and the only vacations I can think of that were comparable or better were sightseeing in China and seeing live, loose polar bears in Churchill, Canada. So, I guess doing the "tourist trips" and skiing.

I sleep.
I eat.

...and I go to the pool.
I refuse to go out a lot. 🤣

Visit family, spend time with family, and cause massive chaos along with other cousins. 🙂 I go visit some tourist spots, we sometimes go to this place with waterfalls and springs, the beach, go out and eat, and just have fun. 😀

Try the local cuisine (Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives ftw!)
Consider local tourist attractions.
Do at least one thing that the locals do that isn't a touristy thing.
Relax!!
Buy a souvenir (or several).

Visit all of the historical sites, museums and such. Eat good food and try to follow local culture.
I do *not *do things like camping or going to the beach. Not my style at all.
