i noticed, there are alot of racisms in japanese franchises of entertainment.....

especially how they display black people....
im not black, but whenever a black guy comes out in any manga such as bleach, full metal panic, resident evil 5, dragonball, etc..... im like "what the heck??!?! thats way too exaggerated".... big lips, with huge nose, etc..... doesnt japan face some controversies or such like that from other countries for that? i mean i know resident evil 5 faced a couple criticism for the setting of how africa was main plot of infection, although thats what the site said not me.....

just curious, of what japan thinks about this case...
i hope people dont write hate notes towards me, im just someone whos just curious and just asking the questions to satisfy the curiosity....

Black people do have bigger lips and nose in general compared with other races.

I don't think it's about how they look. It should be more about how they characterize those non-Japanese characters.

How about the Chinese, Koreans, Americans (not just black. Black people can be from many countries), etc appearing in manga? I am sure there are certain representation of stereotypes held by the Japanese too. If they are reasonable in the context of story I wouldn't think it's related to racism and would ignore it because there are all sorts of people from any race.

Every country has racism against those outside of them in their media. That's just a fact. Just think about the usual representation of Japanese in mainstream Hollywoood movies. I guess it really depends on how far it goes and how controversial it gets.
