Where do you guys like to hang out on IRC? I lost all my favorite channels with the death of my last laptop and have yet to recover. 😢

So what channels do you like? (I can name some I hate, with really rude people who seem to just lurk around looking for people to harass, but I thought I'd keep this positive, dattebayo! lol)

Haha... since I've joined the scanlating group, I've been on #007studio @ rizon... haha. But I'm a n00b to IRC, so that's the only one I'm on usually. 😀

Haha... I wonder if mangaupdates has one... and if members from these forums are on there chatting away... or idling. haha

Lol, and yes. I joined dattebayo a few times... they're just really, really rude. =/ Sheesh. Whatever happened to common courtesy? :/

Well, my favourite channel is ofcourse #lurk but I only use it to... well, the name already says enough 😀 ... and most important I use it to download stuff.

#lurk is great, but for practical use only.

I hang out on my network's irc server, usually on two channels, named #anime (pretty clear what's it about) and #vodka (hehe).

Don't waste your time or time will waste you.

Well not much happens there usually. But meh, It's a good place to idle.
I do idle on a great number of channels though. but those 2 are those I'll always be on whenever I'm on irc.

I don't actually go to lurk often...Too many people for my tastes, but some of them are friends. Baka-Updates is where you can talk to us~

I belong to other groups but their channels are a bit ... tense... also I can enforce my radical doctrines on people 😀 jkjkjk (not kidding) owl stop by sometime if you can 😛 I wouldn't mind chatting with you 😛 (even though you're twice my age ) 😛 😛

Also I go to #lurk (leeching) and #eternal-blue (they have trivia) I have trivia too. But i'm lazy to put manga/anime questions 🤢 . Well i'll look out for you or not. I hate how the bigger groups channels are so dead cough null cough eternal-blue (apart from trivia) Sigh...

Warning : the convos in #ncis can get really wierd (lots of otakus) plus there's my temper but i try to direct it at knexx(channel junkie ) Oh and after midnight when all the malaysian staff wake up. Craziness. lol.

Cool! Thanks for all the replies, minna-san! It's great to know that there are other IRC-ers around the forum. I've actually never been to #lurk but I'll go there soon.

I used to hang out on #manga-archives a lot, but that was a few years ago when I was in college. They were a bunch of really cool people, and helped me out lots when I was a stupid newbie. Unfortunately, they changed their channel a long time ago and I can't remember the name of the new one...yeah. Lost all my channel favorites a while ago and haven't gotten them back and such...reason for the thread. 🙁

@Delta my man! It was so awesome of you to get that and know what I meant! I feel much better knowing I wasn't the only one. Mean people (on the net) suck! >:-(
