Just finished Code Geass and want more, though the robots weren't central.

Now before you go and say "Us genre search idiot (or baka if your weeaboo)." I'd like to state that mecha by definition are walking vehicles controlled by a pilot. This site seems to think that anything closely related to robots can go under that category.

Also preffering real-ish robot (may be possible, more realistic) as opposed to super robot (more like super powers than a robot, other characters with super natural abilities).

Drama would be nice, not a requirement. Though you'd think so seeing as most mecha mangas have something like that. 🤣

Really cool and unique mecha designs would also be attention drawing to me also. 😃

There isn't a lot of mecha manga, and the ones that fit your request are even more scarce.

Maybe Rideback, Red Eyes and Jinki, not sure they really fit your tastes though.
