Does the PC version of Oblivion work with Laptops?
I want to know if Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion (DVD-ROM) will work on my laptop, here are my laptop info.

Your configuration has 2 problems: not enough RAM (Should be 1 gig for games like Oblivion) and the Integrated graphics (should be a graphics card with dedicated memory, like the Geforce 8X00M Series.

That set-up sounds quite iffy, especially because of Vista. That laptop's specs are those of one that came out maybe a year before Vista was released.
(1) Slow processor (Intel Core Duo version one, as opposed to Intel Core 2 Duo);
(2) 1 GB of ram isn't enough for a Vista gaming PC (enough for normal users, but probably not gamers), double it;
(3) I won't pretend to know anything about graphics cards, but I still wouldn't buy one that isn't ATI (aka Radeon) or NVIDIA (aka Geforce).

I don't recommend that laptop.

If your looking for gaming hardware, i suggest Alienware, i own a alienware desktop and laptop, for gaming hardware they i would say are the best.
Heh spent 2 hours cleaning my desktop today... Yeah having a open case cuz i installed a few more fans because of my video card makes it a bit dusty lol, went through 2 big ass bottles of compressed air, but its a lot quieter now and my cpu heat is quite a bit lower. There was tons of dust blocking the fan for my cpu.....

Anyways yeah go to alienwares website.

I just ordered a dell laptop a few days ago. Core 2 Duo 1,8 Ghz, 2 Gig ram, Nvidia 8600M, WUXGA Display. Should be ok for gaming. Costs about 1250 € now. (And I just noticed that that's about 70 € cheaper than 2 days ago says a very indecent word)

i did consider getting a desktop, but it's been years since i used a desktop, frankly i prefer laptops, so i'll be getting this one, what do you think?

Well, it depends if you are going for the newest new gams like noobs (well, all of them aren't that bad, but playing a game just because it is new...) or play those
old classic games full of memories. 🙂 I myself have one like that, but I mainly play something like Warcraft randomly. I just watch anime, read manga and of course do this.

I disagree with ur thoughts of price difference between alienware and dell, i just looked at alienwares laptop thats premade and took a look at what it would cost with dell and its more by a little bit from dell.

BTW Dell's company bought Alienware quite some time ago.

well...i could be considered a noob in pc gaming, but i do pay console games alot! i play, ps3, xbox360, wii (by the way i hate Xbox360 🤢 it just keeps getting trashy stuff)
The main reason i want to start pc gaming is Oblivion, i played on Xbox 360 before which resulted on throwing the Xbox into the trash bin, do you know about the problem? or so they call it the red eye of death or somethin XD then i bought another Xbox 🤢 i dare not try playing oblivion on either ps3 or xbox again, so i'll just play it on pc, and try other pc games while at it 🙂

@drunkdecoy i thought about buying a dell but for some reason everytime i mention a dell to anybody they go off screaming >.> ?! some people say it's horrible some other say it's perfect....i don't understand....so i think i'll stay on the safe side with the nice toshiba i mentioned in my last post. Thanks for your suggestions! it was very educational for a novice in pc gaming like me.
