Same. Just started using it last month and call me impressed by how accurate the tracking data is

MU does give the vibes that it's dying because it's got such an old look. It's amazing how it has kept this oldschool design up until now, but it's great because that's MU's brand now.

I'm sure lots of people will be upset if it gets shut down one day. Please don't die! :' )

MU has more users than you think, just because they don't talk about it on forums etc. and because of the old interface (which is my favorite thing about MU, I heard something like the site will be rewritten, I hope there will be an option to keep using the old interface) you think the site is dead. It's been open since 2004 or 2005 and if the site has survived this long, it's hard for it to die now.

as OP before me said, I too enjoy the old interface as well as detailed and vast database! it's my nr 1 place to find great titles

Inaccuracies and slow updates are more to "Discordification" and scanlators just uploading to sites like Mangadex and not tracking it here. It's been alive and kicking forever. The forums are not exactly the central hub of discussion, I don't think they ever were.

I find the banner adorably outdated though, and hope it never, ever changes. 😳

Like others above I really like the old interface. The grey colour and compact, detailed style is much easier on the eyes than sites like MyAnimeList which are bright white giving me a headache and crawling with ads. This site is easily navigable and is able to display all the information you could want about a series on a single page without it seeming crowded.

The forums may not be the most active but the site is certainly not neglected by users; every time I check there are more than 100 people online recently. The admins are also really helpful and hardworking at keeping the site reliably up to date. New series and releases are quickly added, errors corrected and information updated to make it the most useful manga database, far from a dead site. I'd been using it for a few years before I made an account and I'm sure there are many others who benefit from the information in here (some of which takes ages to find just by searching the web) beyond just the active members.

Despite the fact that the site is many years old in terms of its data it is still cool. But as for the activity of the audience on the forum, then I also have the impression that the site is dying
