I want a manga where the female lead has low self esteem issues and is an outcast/has a few friends/is overshadowed by her friends. But i don't want her to be one of those annoyingly sad and wants pity from others typical dumb shoujo female lead. I want her to be emotionally strong and think things logically. Romance is okay but i hope it's not one of those mangas where the guy does mean stuff to her but occasionally helps her and the girl falls in love with him etc etc shit 🙄
No yaoi pls. I'm cool with shoujo ai/yuri.

Gakuen Ouji kind of fits the description... The girl is bullied and appears to have low self-esteem at the start but she becomes stronger later. Personally, I think the manga had good potential but got ruined by the male lead...(Selfish, stupid, childish) Also,

She falls in love with the annoying male and not the kind male. (Shoujo)

If you're fine with shounen that has romance, [/m]Magi the Labyrinth of Magic[m] fits the description.
Morgiana fits the description, as she used to be a slave. She has an immense amount of physical strength and in some cases, ends up saving the male characters' butts. She is emotionally strong, as she, unlike other slaves, did not break, therefore being freed.
