Watching anime online versus downloading it

Just something I have been wanting to know. My internet is on a usage plan--30gb max per month after which speed gets reduced to dial up speed. What I want to know is
Which one takes up more usage/uses up more gigabytes/megabytes etc
1)Watching anime online or downloading it and then watching it?--This is what I want to know since watching an anime episode which is usually 24 minutes or so will take up quite a bit out of my usage so wanna save if the difference is substantial
- Reading manga online or downloading it and then reading it?
Or do they take up about the same usage...?

If they are both the same file, I'd rather download it because they should have the same size and should use up the same bandwidth.
But streaming usually uses files with lower quality which have lower sizes and should use up less bandwidth, so if you're just gonna check it out, you might wanna go with streaming. I prefer downloading my anime.
As for manga, I'm sure you don't read nearly enough manga in 1 month to waste even half of the 30 Gb quota you have there.

yea reading manga thingy was just on a sidenote its not really that important. I wanted to know about the whole anime thing. I don't know if they are the same but if they are then I would download as well cus I can watch it again if i want to.

I have a strict personal rule of no streaming.
They're low quality and you can't re-watch/read it anytime you want -. not to mention streaming is basically downloading anyways.
Think of it as...you're downloading the episode...and then delete it straight after. I feel like thats a big waste of bandwidth.
