I used to be a hentai addict... (hell, I was a perverted kid) but now am really turned off by the fact that HENTAI ALMOST NEVER HAS FOREPLAY!!!

Hentai caters to male audiences, so maybe it's just my femininity protesting here, but in almost every hentai, the guy just jumps right in. I mean, c'mon! Don't just pop it and run!

Is anybody else bothered by this, or is it just me?

Hentai needs a good scenario
for starters. It indeed bothers me
when they are already going full speed
after 5 pages. The foreplay has been dropped
to make the reading easier for the impatient
people. I don't really care if there is foreplay
or not, since reverse rape is love.

But "it's for men" 🙄 so of course only rarely do I find a hentai manga with foreplay galore. The rabbit goes straight into the rabbit hole every time. And if he doesn't, he sure isn't in there for very long. A lot of H manga seem to be strictly for the stereotypical male, and it agitates me to no end.

Hentai is a lot of fun to read, and thankfully there are a lot that have a good plot or art to make up for the shortcomings in the H scenes. And again, the stereotypical male probably doesn't read it for the plot or art, but who knows if he even exists.

Maybe you could try hentai anime? It's moving. Or smut? However, I don't remember any smut with foreplay galore or something like that. Yet again, I have read very little smut. Maybe you could ask someone who reads lots of it?

I actually never cared whether there's foreplay until you mentioned it (Nor do I now. I don't read hentai for that). I agree with what mewnbrite said. The hentai I like are usually those with a funny plot and decent art. But readers are probably not supposed to read them for plot, that's why they are not many and a lot are in doujinshis.

I guess they believe the "don't read it, do it" thing in terms of foreplay? Just get to the most important part... 🤣

I did read Haru yo, Koi liked it a lot, its not an explicit hentai but still is much much better than the normal H just because has a story to tell ^^ and a little foreplay 😉

But I do agree with base_coat. Hentai never tried to be realistic (what with the weird body proportions, the unconvincing ways people act and the lack of common sense people have in the stories when they are and aren't having sex, the gallons of cum guys are able to shoot out (and sometimes are able to shoot out 3 or more times in a row without getting a second of rest), the ways the girls never get pregnant despite having those same gallons inside of them, etc.), so it's pretty much pointless to complain about them not having enough foreplay when there are lots of other things in the stories that aren't done right.

I think it depends on what type of foreplay he was looking for. Yeah, there's some groping and playing with the dick (using huge boobs XD), etc in many hentai. Maybe he wants something more imaginative and romantic/humorous, and extensive and sensual, not forced-looking, and well combined in the plot and dialogue, like real couple enjoying each other? I really think it depends on what one considers foreplay. As for me, I don't consider a BJ and some groping foreplay. Once hentai becomes a routine-type thing, it really does get boring. There's a few other routines, but it's all pretty typical.
