Hi,

Please help me find/remember an old manga I read (literally) ages ago, about TWO KAPPAS - wich don't look like the usual kappas - and a boy that lives with his family (I don't remember exactly with who, I guess his grandmother?) in the countryside.

The house the boy lives is near a little river, wich the kappas live in. The kappas dress with kimonos, that are all white and have a kind of waterproof properties to them. Their hair is tied in a way that their head plates don't show (like, a ponytail, or at least a half pony tail).

The boy gives them pickles and cucumbers and they became friends. As the boy grows up, their relationship becomes more and more complex, and eventually they reveal that they are kappas and even show the boy their head plate!

I remember that, in the end, they (the kappas) had to move to another river/city, because the river they were living was going to be overlayed for the creation of a road.

Okay, now a brief description of the characters (mainly the kappas, okay?)

Character 01: Kappa, with really delicate features. Wears a kimono in the tradicional way. Personality wise, he is really calm and with a kind of mistery air around him. His hair is sleek and reaches just above the waist.

Character 02: Kappa with a more tomboy attitude. He is the reckless one in the relationship. He wears the kimono in a more stripped way, and I aways had the feeling that he was like a Warrior or something... His hair is more ruffled and reaches just below the shoulder.

Character 03 (protagonist): Unfortunetly, I really don't remember much of him! But he had a demure nature and, as the story progress, he grows up and start to realize that he loves them.

OBS.: I don't remember if there was any sex releated, there might have been with the kappas storyline, but I don't think the main character and them had done something... But well, if there is, the more, the merrier! 😀 😀

That's Tsuki to Mizu no Yoru. But it's not yaoi at all; barely even shounen-ai. A really lovely story with themes of environmentalism... They just don't make BL like that nowadays.
