If the story is going in a direction of ichigo becoming a hollow since he has that hole in his chest and still lives, although he's already have a hollow characteristics when he's a vaizard but what would that mean? His father is a Isshin who up to know i think was and is a soul reaper. I need some answers and I'm not sure if I'm getting it soon. What made him like that, what made him increase his power and be someone like that if his roots are just ordinary human and a soul reaper. what happened uruhara, do you know? 😕 Is it again something to do with hougyoku?

Cool chapter. The only problem is that I still don't know what he really looks like...too many shadows. So, here is my take on the hole: there is a hole in his chest, that clearly goes all the way through his body (you can see his hair on the other side). Hollows' holes are black are they not? Maybe this means that he is still in some kind of control of this form or something. I guess we will find out in another twenty chapters or so.

I would like to know if Ichigo is the only one with this second release of if all of the vizards have this ability.

This chapter left me with 2 things:

1. Ichigo's new form is awesome. He looks more of a Death Lord than a Vaso Lord ^^

This is pretty interesting... I wonder if Inner Ichigo is in control or if he's just going berserk?
Still... I hope Inner Ichigo comes out, he's just insane...

@Orpheus: Hollow's holes arent black: they're just holes (maybe colored black to contrast with the white figure)

p.s. I agree with Zodd, prolly Orihime will be the key to "rehumanize" Ichigo by restoring his chest from the hole. And maybe, just maybe, while she's at it, could she reattach poor Ishida's arm? Not that's important eh...sarcasm

Ripping Ulquiorra's arm was 😲 . I wonder if his current condition is strong enough to beat Aizen. And is he conscious of what he is doing at all? I know he was speaking in the beginning as if he knew, but I wonder if he is able to recognize his friends when the battle is over.

This proves that holes are not black... anyway Ichigo is very much like a Hollow now... heck I would say this is like the Bankai of Vizards... you know the Mask is the Shikai or first form and what we see now is a second form that is clearly harder to control.

It was an OK chapter.
To bad Ichigo isn't in control of himself in this new form.

Orihime fix Ishida's arm.
Yes Ulquiorra's arm got riped off but that doesn't mean Ishida's arm is getting any better.

I think this is probably more along the lines of Hollow Ichigo took over (and is probably a Vasto Lord). The mask closely resembles that of the Chimera creature that the three fraccion of Halibel created, and he's sort of acting that way. I would guess that it probably isn't a Vizard second form but rather just him as a full hollow (the said Vasto Lords resembled humans).

I also think that this is just the beginning of us seeing these, because I actually doubt that Ulquiorra is a Vasto Lord level (despite him being the main antagonist), so we'll probably see some similar stuff in the coming battles against Barragan, Stark, and Halibel (of whom I predict at least one will win). Tite seems to do this when he wants to introduce a new concept. It's kinda like how Mayuri used his bankai right after Yoroichi described bankai to Ichigo.

Anywho, I may be wrong, but that's what I think is going on. We'll see in the coming chapters.

Wow and we were all expecting super saiyan and we got like a norse-like undead warrior 🤢 but i like it even though it's pretty obvious now that Ulqui's gonna get pwned and prolly die which kinda saddens me.

About this new form though, I don't think Ichigo knows what he's doing, but I don't think Hichigo is entirely in control either if he is the one doing all this. If Hichigo was in control Ulqui would be dead already, along with at least Uryu and possibly Orihime.

And that leads me to the one thing I hate about this chapter. Up to this point Bleach hasn't had any set in stone pairings. This whole Ichigo-coming-back-from-the-brink-of-death-to-protect-Orihime shit is annoyingly necessary plot device that I wish Tite hadn't used. It basically makes IchigoOrihime a canon couple and that pisses of the yaoi fanfiction writers such as I and imo gives the wrong vibe to the story. It just doesn't fit with Bleach and I pray to god it doesn't get expanded upon. 😔

first, we've already seen the full ichigo-turned-hallow during his training with the vizard. it looks absolutely nothing like this. this is something completely new (tite seems to get too many "how should i mess with my fans this week" ideas from 'lost').

i don't think that this is ichigo as a full hallow. i think that it's close, but his thoughts during the transformation were completely about protecting orihime. i think that he's about to lose control and his emotions are fully taking control of him, but he still has some sanity left. also, his taking ulquiora's arm could just be retrobution for ishida. just my thoughts.

lastly, zangetsu is still in bankai mode. it, like all other soul cutters, is supposed to revert to it's basic form when the wielder is on the brink of death. it hasn't. any ideas on this? i'm stumped.

Well done for remembering that. I was in complete awe over the new Ichigo that I completely forgot about zanpakto returning to their original form when the user is on the verge of death.

Ichigo isn't your average shinigami, when has he ever followed the rules? Kubo could have forgotten about this himself and just left zangetsu in bankai mode.

Ichigo looks set to destroy Ulquiorra. Of course Ulquiorra won't be going down easily, I reckon he has got some sort of final attack which he will use.

I don't think the new mask has anything to do with him turning into a complete hollow I just think that this is his real mask that he is supposed to attain after gains control of his hollow. Remember that all the Vizards were able to use ceros once put their masks an except for Ichigo probably because he just now got his real mask out.

I agree with you that he has not lost his mind, Ichigo tearing the arm of was his way getting retribution for Ishida just like how he did the same thing to Yami for Sado.

I think the reason the bankai didn't loose its shape because he wasn't about to die, that probably has something to do with his huge amount of reiatsu that he still has to learn how to control. Remember his battle with Kenpachi where he nearly died but his inner world was calm as it can be the same theory I am guessing.

That's what I was thinking. I mean, this chapter was fucking bad ass, but it had two 2-page spreads and some of the pages had one huge panel with one little panel, and it made it a real quick read.
