in any case as for the topic. there isn't much that we can really do. there will always be people like tazmo around. that one guy said their actions clearly..what was his name......"icecold". they pay to download there for their own reasons whether speed or plain ignorance to availability.

i think secretly everyone here wants to Join tazmo. not because they support his actions but because they are jealous of the profits. hahaha. j/k....or am i? 😀

A DOS is what the site we go to does, it involves individual users wasting peoples bandwidth until they exceed their quota. This is LEGAL (Or legally gray, depending on the area), thats why the FBI doesn't really do anything. However, if someone does a DDOS (Using hacked computers to each launch a co-ordinated DOS), this is illegal, and the FBI DOES infact send out their many vans to pick up the owner of the botnet.[/quote]

His servers actually are very strong. Only because his userbase is donating, though. However I'm sure we could very slyly erode his userbase using legit method. For example, if we (The MU community) make accounts on his forum, and discuss other mangas that kaz isn't "scanlating", they will ask where they can read it. We can respond with "Oh, well you can just search mangaupdates for the group that releases it you know. Like I download my naruto from irc.*****".

I think this would be best since

1. The people who learn about IRC's etc probably won't leave the narutofan community. They will linger around spreading information.
2. No authorities are involved, and we will never be put under pressure.
3. It will make "legit" (And I use the term loosely) communities grow, as they visit the "legit" group's IRC/forums.

2: The members don't like Tazmo, yet they keep paying him......

Hmm, I just checked their Negima, and they STILL haven't gotten the missing chapters from around 80-100! It's been like that since the days of...was it called dailymanga back then? So long ago I can't remember what the name was before they merged...Well, before it merged, I was thinking about telling the guys who ran the site about the supposedly missing chapters of Negima (since I scanlate the series), but after they merged, no way would I do that!

I thought things had gotten reasonable... maybe I shouldn't blindly believe what people tell me. =P But from what I hear, the forums aren't too bad. I bet there are a lot of people who don't actively participate there, but donate to Tazmo just to sit around and leech.
