No ppl arent mad at him for having a good idea, they are mad cuz hes scamming ppl, stealing work. And about dling gsd... its easily FREE from other sites without paying money.

Besides aren't we ripping off the industry that provides manga? the companies? That acually have rights to the manga? Correct me if I'm wrong

For those that says scanlating is taking too much of their spare time and should thank them by "Donating" Then I just have this to say, "If you can prove your spare time worth more money than jimmy carter, then I will donate all my money to you right now."

On a side note, scanlating doesn't take long, so don't be fooled, if by an off chance it did take so one a long time, then they should use their time to find a brain instead of doing mangas. I know I translate and edit sometimes.

The mangas are still free to get... but for so many animes.. the bandwhich usage must be huge.. yes you can get them from other websites.. but most of them are IRC or torrent only. I think Fatsotazmo has to give credits to the ppl who do it though, instead of putting it up and saying 'his' community did it.

I don't see why the big deal to save and defend Tazmo. Is he really doing such a great job that you love him so much? Is he that much your hero that any bad word said against him results in an outcry of his defense? I just want to distribute the stop Tazmo letter and take away his feedbag. He could do better by the community that supports him and I think we should do everything in our power to make him do so. Not involving the authorities, just educate the noobs that there is a better way to be a part of the scene without getting fleeced in the process.
I can't force anyone to not pay him, but at least I want everyone to know that they don't have to. If you make it your choice to pay him for nothing that's fine as long as you know you are being dumb. But it isn't fair to let the noobs pay because they don't know there is another way.

If not how can you say wat you're saying. No site I checked offers really direct anime dl, they either ups it to mega or something else gay. So Nfan is actually the only provider that provides non gay ddl anime.

I am aware of how Narutofan operates. Trust me there are other places to get Anime/Manga just as easily without getting gouged in the pocketbook. Other sites that give due credit and can account for the money they ask for. Thousands of people sending in $5 a month! Are his servars made from depleted uranium? What kind of bandwidth cost that much? What is he giving back to the community?

i have a membership for animeprivate and narutofan i just like the speed i dont care much about paying some extra change that i find on the ground for faster downloads.

Understand this: the translators/scanslators do not do all this work to make money. If we were, the companies like Viz and TokyoPop would crack down on ALL the manga produced, not just the licensed ones. In some ways, we are doing the industry good-for the popularity of a series online is only a fraction of what it would be if otherwise licensed(Special A, Black Cat etc.) which therefore equals more money. Not to mention msot groups quit scanslating and opening for download series once they are licensed.

The reason why Tazmo's business is wrond is because he takes the work people do for free, for the benefit of ALL manga lovers, and attempts/IS making a profit. What for? Bandwidth? Load of bull. daily-manga.net doesn't charge, neither does onemanga and stoptazmo.com itself, and both have more than 30 manga titles-indeed, stoptazmo.com and daily-manga.net have at LEAST 200. Are they chareging? Nope. So what makes TAZMO so GREAT and WONDERFUL that HE should get to charge people for others' work and bandwidth?

But as many have said already, as much as it is wrong, we really can't do much about it. WE can encourage people not to subscribe, jsut like we encourage people not to buy manga off Ebay(which is often done by free scanslators from here) but that's about it. So keep spreading the word! =)

I do know how dude, irc, but not all the group shave xdcc, and some just don't have the older releases on xdcc.
