More people are being educated (since education is compulsory) therefore less ignorance than in the olden times, music is sexier, girls can wear pants and can be independent more easily, transportation (don't have to go by foot or carriage), less chance of being murdered by the government for thinking/saying what you want-- not in every country of course 😐
