Travelers!

Do you like traveling? Do you travel extensively? Where to? And do you have some place you REALLY want to go to? Let's share.
I travel a lot, although I don't think they were too far from home. I'm from Indonesia, and all the places I've been going to were the nearest, say, around the island (I live in Java). And I assure you, there were many really nice places here (promoting mode: ON) although I haven't seen all of the options. Outside, I'd like to go to and travel Japan, of course, but my greatest dream is Europe. The continent has many dreamy destinations for amateur travelers like me. Do you guys think there are some other great places to travel?
I'm new in the box, by the way, and this is my first trying-to-be-friendly post here. So if the subject has already been around, please abandon this. Nice to know ya! 😁

Gaaah! I love traveling! (Even though I panic in strange places and I get homesick!!)
I live in England so for me, Europe (as in, mainland Europe) is pretty close and doesn't have a lot of mystique anymore, although I still love it there. I've been to France a couple of times (once a school trip, once a family vacation) and Italy on vacation as well... and the Canary Islands. And a bit more exotic, I went to Kenya last year with my school doing volunteering, conservation, safari and scuba diving and stuff like that which was awesome and the year before that our school went to Russia. Russia has so many unbelievably beautiful palaces and buildings _ And the snow! So magical!
Like you (and a lot of people on this site, I bet) I really want to go to Japan... just as well that I get to study at a Japanese university for a year as part of my degree 😀 I won't be leaving till 2012 and I don't even know which university I want to go to yet, I think pretty much anywhere would be awesome, but I'm already so worked up with excitement and nerves >_< If everything goes well I'd love to live there permanently though 😃
Other places I want to go are Tibet, Cambodia, Egypt, Thailand, Ecuador, Australia, Wales, South Korea... well, pretty much anywhere. There's something worth seeing/doing in every country, I think 😎 Maybe I will take a gap year after I graduate and do some hardcore traveling.

I want to travel, but not yet found the opportunities to do so. I'm living in United States, but originally from Vietnam. So I want to visit Europe, cause never set my foot on that continent yet. xD
Especially England, France, and Switzerland, I love pretty scenery.
I want to see sunrise at one of the beaches in the Caribbean, sunset on the savanna in Africa, cherry blossoms season in Japan, mountains in China, chateau in France, Rome in Italy, landscapes in Switzerland...Many more if I can find them. 😀 😀 😀
It's a dream though, maybe after I achieved my goal. 🤣

Many friends of mine said that if you want to travel the Europe, England is the best start. Like, every novice should start from there. Well, once I finish my study, I'll find out why. 😉
There aren't that many mangas that tell about traveling and stuff, but so far, the farthest place I've ever seen in adventure manga is mainland China (Kenji). And it's kind of historical, so it's a little bit out of date. The other is Germany in Monster, but it is also dated. Traveling can be so expensive, and I think not many mangakas who had an experience on a journey, much less outside Japan.
