Survival: How far would you go?
I wouldn't mind killing other people just to get their resources if I have to. No sense in sharing insuffecient food with strangers. Hang companionship. I'd prefer killing off other survivors. Then maybe keep one hostage just for fun.
Then eat anything that looks edible 🤨 Hunt, forage, hunt.
BUT I'd never do anything like drink me own piss if the water source dries up. Or eating human carcass. Uck. That's just wrong. 😔

If necessary I would probably go on a rampage on other people/villages but would never intentionally cut off any of my body parts. I don't have qualms about killing people for my survival, but my humane side might kick in sometime. It all depends on the situation and possible methods.

I'll do anything to defend myself. But I will not attack, kill or provoke others in order to survive.
If I'm in a survival game, I would be the type of person who gets the tazer, radar or bulletproof vest and spend the whole time avoiding contact with others.
If I'm in a post apocalyptic setting, I would be the person who goes off hiding in an empty high rise building and goes off to nearby apartment foraging for supplies. If something ever happened, I would simply jump from the top floor.
Pretty lame huh?

I am NOT drinking my own piss. I would rather DIE then do that. I am also not cutting off my own limbs. Other than that I would try anything else.
In apocalypse settings I would probably do anything to protect myself and my close allies mostly on defense but I wouldn't do any offesive stuff like attacking an enemy base I would rather do sneaky things like trap them or something. Stupid people I would kill if it threatens my or my nakama's lives. (Like in the movie The Mist I'd kill that stupid religious b**tch first)
If it's all out battle royal then its kill or be killed. I'm not dying anytime soon.
And if it's stuck in wilderness then hunt and gather and avoid unnessisary dangers.

- I'm not sure (extreme situations sometimes make you use extreme solutions)
That about sums it up. I don't know what I'd do, but I'd go as far as the situation requires. I'll be a bit easier going if I'm alone (just a bit), but if I have people to protect then heads will roll. I will NOT eat any human flesh or drink my own piss or something gross like that, but you honestly never know what will happen when you're fighting for your life. 😔

Are you talking about survival in the wilderness, during an accident or something else? To me, survival in different surroundings = different tactics required.
Well, I won't mind killing animals or eating wild plants for survival and that's only if they're safe to eat. I wouldn't eat another human though 'cos human meat carries a lot of diseases and bacteria. Plus, I'm totally NOT into cannibalism(except for its usage in stories, to scare or creep out people).
Also, I wouldn't drink my own urine unless I've got a water purification system(tablets, filters, etc.) that'll purify it and make it safe for consumption. In Singapore, some of our water is recycled from urine so it's not like it's a big deal. Besides, fresh water these days is heavily contaminated with all sorts of crap. To preserve water in my body, I'd probably try to avoid salt and too much heat and might even discard most of my clothes.
I'm not really into the act of killing others since I'm terrified of blood and gore(irl) and strongly abhor the act of taking someone's life. But if I have to, I'd first try to wound the person instead of trying to kill him. Plus, I've heard time and time again, that killing someone deadens a part of you and I'm not crazy enough to go that far, unless the person really intends to kill me.
I wouldn't help someone kidnap a person, hurt a person's family, etc. nor am I going to wound a child or use a child as a bombing target, just for the sake of luring an enemy out.

Do whatever it takes to survive, if I still had a reason to.
Agree. I'm not sure of what setting are you suggesting, different circumstances = different survival techniques. But ultimately, is there a reason for me to survive? If the world ends, and all of my family/friends are dead, I will just jump down from somewhere => wanna try to fly before i die. 🤣
For revenge, hmm... I would go quite far if it worth it.
I don't mind killing people as a method of self-defense, but never will consume them as food, just so I could retain some humanity in me. 😀

I would say i wouldn't eat human meat...but that would probably be a lie.
Might puke it up...then eat it my puke but yeah, whatever it takes except for murder.
I guess i would wait for someone to die. lol. Might even eat grass you know.
Extremities for extreme times.
Eating human meat is just a moral line set by human society. You just have to stretch that line...think about it carefully. Its just waste meat in all simplicity if they died of natural cause. (or cause of other means besides killing from another human).

I believe in letting people do as they wish, as do I myself. Sometimes, of course, what I wish to do is kill them and they do not wish to die. This gives life interest.

In a desert survival situation I would first take off my shirt and piss on it and wrap it around my head so I don't dehydrate quickly. Then travel north and eat bugs and stuff. Then if that doesn't work I shall get down on my knees, look up at the sun and shout out at the top of my voice "Beaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar Gryllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllssssss" then collapse in the sand and waste away.

And don't forget to sleep during the day and walk at night. Common mistake. 🤣

Boy, remind me never to be stuck with some of you guys in a survival situation. 0.o
agreed
im surprised to see the majority here would kill to survive
i would never do that...i think..
even under survival situations i would probably stay sane and keep my morals and pride heh 😛
i think i would try my best to survive without doing anything extreme,if im going to die then so be it
if its something like being alone in a desert i would cut cactus to collect water , find a camel or something, follow the stars and travel north(and maybe i'll do what the-burden would do with the exception of eating bugs) lololol

I'd probably take it as a chance to rid the world of myself, rather than survive.

My thoughts exactly. Animals and plants die all the time, and we are no different. Eventually the world turns away from our lives and what follows can either be accepted and, what time is left, lived peacefully or struggle until the very end. I would rather accept the inevitable and give up my physical body to the Earth, afterall, it is only a vessel. It could be that what remains is an eternal soul or just energy or even nothing. But I believe a part of me would live on, in the rain, in the air, wherever. If I am ever stuck in a desert or an island or whatnot, maybe I would try to survive, but not at the expense of other people because I cannot change what I cannot lose: the impermanence of my own existence. I want my fleeting moments to be filled with peace.

Ah, I'm not a believer of an afterlife, so I guess the meaning was different than yours.

Whatever happens I will try everything to survive
This. It may sound cliche, but the will to survive is one of the strongest instincts we posses.
"But why?"
"Because I can."
