The human leading them seems pretty badass. Too bad he'll die soon, as all badass characters do.
And I know Kurono is strong and all, but why did that alien leader take such an interest in him after seeing him fight? Are there going to be main targets in this mission?

I'm guessing it's just an excuse for Kurono to fight the seemingly leader alien.
The bigger question though is how the hell did that "leader" of the Gantz super-team get those huge ass arms?

Maybe he finished the game with 100 points a lot of times and he kept updating his costume until it got that way.

I still read this as well
anyway, Aren't those arms the same arms Oka the Osakan mofo had?
Think about it... when his suit was destroyed the person inside the suit was smaller than the actual super suit... heck is very likely that idiot Oka didn't know the arms could do all those wicked stuff
In short, I believe the guy has a supersuit, yet only fought with the arms, and as thus the arms look a lot bigger because he doesn't have the rest of the super suit to match the proportions 🙂
AND Kurono alone killed 2 of their soldiers without much effort, that seems to have gotten the attention of the nerd aliens "four eyed reference".
other than that? maybe the nerds think Kurono is super cute or something 😛
