what would you do if you and you boyfriend/girlfriend just started going out only to find out later that your parent and their parent had been dating for a while and were going to get married?
me...I wouldn't care if they got married, BUT, i would make it clear that i had no intention to stop seeing my girlfriend because if you love someone you are going to be with them no matter what... well that's my take
what about you? would you acknowledge it and break it off with your boyfriend/girlfriend and convert to step siblings? protest the marriage knowing that you are standing in the way of your parents happiness for your own desire? or what?

is there any problem with that? any law against it? or religious doctrine? i didn't know anything like that and don't care at all. their relationship are theirs. your relationship are yours.

Well... first, the likelihood of that happening is extremely slim, lol. BUT if for some reason it does happen, we can move to Rhode Island, rofl. Problem solved. I mean you're not related by blood to the person, though I don't condone it, I am not against it either.

You sure?
I'm not familiar with law, honestly, but that seems a bit off. In the very least, I have a friend who retained his last name despite his mother's re-marriage (he was 11-13 years old at the time). I would think that if you share no blood relation and have completely different family names, it wouldn't be a problem. If there is a law like that, I think it's in place to protect younger children, but like I said, I'm only speculating; I'm no expert.
Or the law is in place to protect horny teenagers who share a roof from copulating non-stop, but if that's the case, I have no idea who'd be punished for breaking it.

My parents are so desperate for me to get a boyfriend that they would probably give up the wedding. Or postpone it until we break up.

I wouldn't mind, probably.
Of course you wouldn't. You have a sister complex... so it's actually a turn on??

Sounds like a movie that I would probably watch lol. But, on to your question, I wouldn't find it a problem, your not blood related or anything. But it would be awkward if you all lived in the same house. :/

But if it makes you happy to win on the internet, have at it.
