I'm looking for a harem manga (can also be an anime) that have a strong guy protagonist. A protagonist who isn't always getting hit all the time or needs to be saved by the girls. The protagonist can either be strong-willed or actually strong in-fighting.

Gate - Jietai Kare no Chi nite, Kaku Tatakeri Male lead not really strong but guns beat magic so he's not bad

If you liked Isekai no Seikishi Monogatari you really should try the rest in the "series"... Tenchi Muyo! Ryo-Ohki, Photon- The Idiot Adventures (his harem is a fair bit smaller), Tenchi Muyo! GXP and Dual! Parallel Runrun Monogatari... (all anime. There is manga as well, but I haven't read any of them.)
