Are you asking for a machiavellian lead or just a strong psychological/horror? Other than issues of morality and a few similarities between Lelouch and Light, CG and Death Note are pretty much entirely different.

I'm going with psychological/horror/mystery suggestions because they're easier and fit more with Mirai Nikki.

Well first choice is probably Eternal Sabbath, so much better than DN imho.

Then maybe my fav mistery manga, Spiral, if you can overlook a slow start the manga keeps getting better and better (not so dark tough).

its not a fantasy or supernatural, like death note. but it has the same feel and mood to death note because there is alot of incredibly smart people, just like kira.
