I think Kumo-chan is Shiro.

In B1, Bart says thought Kuro and Shiro are "Ruler" class and describes as being "pure white". In B2, Shiro has a really big sweet tooth. In the the fight against the hero, Shiro uses "Corrosion" to kill him. And finally, in the disciple chapters, that mage describes her as being white and the other one as black.

And for those reasons, I think

Shiro is Kumo-chan.

Ohhhhh, maybe so... But this isn't currently translated chapters, no wonder I'm confused. 🤢

Why is Shiro being White = Kumo?

Sorry, I only read up to the translated version, which is B1. And Kumo is still a black spider at the moment.

No matter how you look at it Kumo-sama should be the Demon King. Shiro and Kuro are probably manifestations of some of her abilities (for example parallel personality four and five).

These chapters are placed in diffrent time lines. Kuro-samas story should take place at the time while the other classmates are being born. While this story with the war should take place ... dont remember exactly... 15 years latter? - Shun and party are already in the academy and are learning how to be badass while Kumo-sama is already godly existence.

While I got no clue what happened afterwards.

I do lean towards what rhin said as in the latest translated chapters, it hinted that Kumo-chan will become the demon king in the future.

And I do believe that the main series and the side stories are in different time lines. Like Kumo-chan starts off in the dungeon while the other classmates are just born. Kumo-chan runs for her life while others are nursed as a baby, or abandoned or whatever.

Like in Y2, Julius talked about the spider silk story that he heard as a child. It's safe to assume that a good 5 to 10 years passed by from his tone. Also, he mentioned that Shun should be attending the academy now, so how old does a noble enter an academy? If you ask me, I'll assume 6 to 8 seems like a pretty good age. During one of Shun's story, he mentioned seeing Oka-chan as a small elf girl, which probably means that Oka-chan looked like she was under 10 years old.

Though, it's also completely possible that Kumo-chan has been roaming the upper layer, lower layer and middle layer for 5 to 10 years. Very unlikely but still possible. I personally lean towards that only 1-2 years has passed by.

Raises the question of why she'd decide to make war with humans.

Unless unreasonable hatred for humans is a side effect of the Demon King title.

Turb0 has been doing a great job with translation but this one has been bugging me so I'll rant a little. "Julius" should not be"Julius". It should be "Yurius". "S" chapters are about "Shun. "K" chapters are for "Katia". "B" is about "Bart". So why is "Y" "Julius"? It should be "Yurius"! /endrant.

As of today, in fact, Kumo-chan completed her Arachne evolution and no, it's not her "final form"-ish. But the shape is almost like Shiro, so yes, I will say 100% that Shiro is Kumo-chan.
