whenever a new series is released, just for the first chapter (or two or three maybe). could we have a icon so it stands out. eg a star?

Well, I don't think that's really necessary, because all the new stuff already has its own section. Going to the "what's new!" section is even easier than looking for a special icon (in my opinion, at least).

I'd agree with mono sama...
Iconizing stuff tends to help... at least helps me. I can sort out the new series, old series out more easily in a never ending list of manga.
