Hello everybody~~!
I'm trying to learn Japanese here and I read it helps to be in contact with someone that talks Japanese so I was wondering if there was someone here that would like to chat with me (or exchange e-mails) to exercise Japanese or just chat about random stuff

That's perfect so far!
How long have you been studying it? I've been doing afterschool Japanese classes for nearly two years now, but I'm still shit at it!
An attempt at translating my second sentence into Japanese;
Nihon no benkyou wa nan nen sei desu ka?

Yep, I know how to perfectly write Hiragana, and I'm in the process of slowly learning Katakana. I need to learn some Kanji soon as well...

I hope thats right,I'm not used to making sentences though my reading is not as bad as sentence making

@Highway-STAR: "How long have you been studying it?" should be
(anata wa) dono gurai nihongo wo benkyou shiteimashita ka
I think what you did wrong was, referring to 'the study of Japanese' as the subject, not the actual person.So basically you were asking "What year level are you(Japanese study)?
@ladykitty: Here's a small tip. Because you've already used watashiwa already you don't need to use it again until the subject of the sentence changes. "Person A blah desu. blah desu." -> second sentence refers to Person A.

Also helps to write in Japanese so get the font installed. Using romaji isn't too great to learn Japanese if you want to write/read it but it helps with speaking kinda. -> that's what my Japanese teacher said. lol. it helps you memorise the hiragana and katakana too if you see it more.

It's supposed to say:
"Umm..Hello.Looks like you're studying Japanese.Keep at it.I'm still not skillled at it.Even so,if its just listening,I think I can do it."
But yea...its hard.But thats coming from a person who has never had a single japanese lesson in his life.Its hard to recommend where to start, but for me I learned kanji first then grammar....pronounciation was picked up through reading and watching anime I guess.Though nowadays I'm just watching anime since I'm a lazy pig.

I'm learning as well but through tons of schoolwork, the process is not progressing much lol I do learn a few phrases and basic words through anime but now I go online and look up the grammar. So far I can write a few simple sentences in romanji.
