Guns are useless in Gun x Clover?

Not 100% certain on this, but is it my imagination or has NO ONE died from guns in the first 20 chapters? ... though, uncertain if any of the good guys have died, period. But even the evil faceless minions seem to die mainly from swords and unarmed strikes.
No, wait, eyepatch girl did shoot some faceless minions at the end of Rinkan School Arc. I think those were the only ones though.

At this point I'd figure that whether or not you have guns, it really does come down to close combat in this manga. Either that or the language powers, but yeah... for them being mercenaries, I don't see why their guns don't really end up killing people... :/

Lost interest in this series after chapter 10. One, it's not good enough for the rate it's coming out. Two, it's going to become one of those pointless "best of the best, bestest of the best of the best, bestest of the bestest of the best of the best"...etc...until we learn the the main character can turn himself blond in a super Master Merc Mode.

... cuz gun fights end fast... theres no emotion in a fight lasting 1 sec... so thats why they have swords... they can cut and cut and cut and cut and nothing happends... so the fight can be longer.... well dont know why bleach came to mind while typing that tho...

It's pretty much my feelings as well as for why I lost interest.
My main problem's like I've mentioned about the manga before, where if a character's not a master rank or doesn't have powers, then they're pretty much insignificant in any of the action. I feel like those characters exist only to show how "incredibly bad-ass" the protagonist always is, either to portray how weak they are compared to him, or to just be a part of the harem he doesn't want.

You're right about gun fights ending fast in reality, but this is an action manga. There can be ways for the villains to avoid/prevent themselves from getting shot so easily, but I don't think that guns should be totally abandoned for close combat all the time. Given circumstances (runs out of ammo, dropped it, gets jammed, gets destroyed, etc.), sure then, go ditch it. But really, they are mercenaries, so I don't think that they should pretend like they don't have guns available to use at certain times when applicable.
