ROCK FTW! Specially if it's J-Rock. 😀

I usually listen to Indie and Alt-Rock bands like Manchester orchestra, Wild Sweet Orange, Ramona falls, Modest Mouse, The Weakerthans, My Morning Jacket, and Cursive. So i voted for Indie.

I also enjoy Folk, Classical, Jazz, and Blues too i just don't regularly listen to those genres.

I'm heavily into shoegaze these days - should I file that under 'Alt-Rock', or does Alt-Rock have weird implications these days in the same way that 'Indie' has changed from being a way of management into a genre?

Hard to pick between classical and jazz. I really love both.

I like anything Lo-fi in it's sound. I hate overproduction of music...including when bands don't record as a full live band. That goes for all genre's.

For all you Indie/Acoustic kids check this guy out.

Oh come ON! Why "Heavy metal"? It's a sub-genre. Either change it to "Metal" in general or include others like Folk (Folk Metal, before someone tells me that "Folk" is on list), Death, Black, Glam, Viking, Grindcore, Power, Metalcore etc.

Haha, I came here with the intention to post the same thing. Though on another note, folk and folk metal are about as related as cheese and ice-cream.

Voted for jazz. Just 2.4%? Blasphemy.

My point was that some people assume that it's the same.

Techno fans should be unsatisfied too, because as far as I know, dance is sub-genre of techno (next to trance, house etc.).
