How about adding a ling to scanlator's facebook/twitter page if they have one on their maing page on MU?.
For example, right now Evil Flower's site is down because of certain circumstances. So is the forum and the boot providing the releases on irc.
We have added our latest releases on our facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Evil-Flowers/163089367041966 for those who were not able to get them before the site crashed.
I think a link for this would be helpful for the fans and it's not something hard to add. I guess.
Well, it's just a suggestion ^^.
