Now i know these are not the only categories that exists, and at first glance this seems like a poll only for one of the two. However, in hopes that i can widen this question for all participants. i will form subcategories and if i miss anything i hope that you can read in between the lines and some how participate, or perhaps comment with a question as to clarify anything.
Just as an experiment i thought might be interested, i've decided to create a poll for the purpose of seeing a ratio of the users of MU.
Shounen : Typically Male lead, Shounen, Seinen, fighting squads, boys or men on sports teams, The art style of shōnen is generally less flowery varying from artist to artist.
Shoujo : Typically Female lead, Josei often engaging between friendly or romantic relationships, and every day life, pre-teen heroines tossed from one perilous circumstance.
Half & Half : nearly all the content that you are appealed to is 50% shoujo and 50% shounen
why because i am the president of the student council of course

Isn't this similar to the "Guys who read shoujo and girls who read shounen (poll)" thread?

Well the "I read everything" option in that other poll kind of swallowed all the votes, making it somewhat useless for anything aside from determining "most people will read at least a little bit of everything".
This poll has a "half and half" option instead which is more effective in my opinion, since now people who have read 1 shoujo and 300 shounen won't be voting in the neutral category.

My thoughts exactly. Voted shounen. While I mostly read seinen, when I want a change of pace I read on occasion any other genre.
"But why?"
"Because I can."
"OMFG, DON'T STAND IN THE FIRE!!!"
I own more shounen, but actually enjoy shoujo a little more, so I'd say half and half.
