He's gonna get split twentysomething ways and they all get to keep one (one for YueDoka and KonoSetsu each). And maybe a few for Evangeline to play with.

He should end up with all of them and have a harem because they all like him.

I would go with Asuna. The way I see it, it's the right choice, or rather it will be in the future when Negi actually takes an interest in girls. She may not love Negi like Nodoka, or at least she doesn't show it or admit to it, but she clearly cares deeply for him. Right now, it's strictly a sibling type of a affection (for the most part), but if it wasn't for the age thing, I'm sure that Asuna would have fallen in love with him by now (since she has shown an attraction to him on a few occasions, and she didn't exactly say no when she thought that Negi indirectly proposed to her when he asked her to be her partner after the festival). Also, like some people have mentioned, the age thing can be solved if he spends a long period of time in Eva's resort. Do the math. 1 day in the resort = 1 hour in the real world. 1 year/365 days in the resort = 365 hours/15 days in the real world. If he spends a few months in the resort training like a mofo, he'll come out, not only a badass in terms of fighting, but also a few years older (physically) and handsome as everyone seems to believe he will be after 5 years or so.

Plus, there was this one occasion that made me step back a bit and say, "Hmm, I didn't expect that." When they reunite with each other after Negi is arrested in the future, Asuna embraces him as if there was no one who she would have rather seen at that point. I mean, we knew that she cared for him, but that's the first time I saw her show her affection so openly. It caught me by surprise to see her embrace him like that since she never really did that before. After that she seemed to develop more affection for him as shown in how she tries hard to train herself so she could fight alongside Negi without being a burden, and how she was hurt whenever Negi chose to do something without first confronting her. So, she definitely cares more for Negi than she wants to admit, it's only a matter of time before she finally admits to her feelings for him.

However, I'm dying to see the mangaka who finally has the balls to say, "You know what, he ends up with all of them because he's a pimp like that." The one bad thing about harems is that there is always going to be someone left broken-hearted. This is especially painful to readers if the one(s) not chosen are lovable characters and are deeply saddened by not being picked.

The best example for me was Toujo in Ichigo 100% Just once, I'd like to not see a girl crying because of a broken heart. I say Ken should bite the bullet and be like, "Well what can you say, he is a pimp after all."

Ah yes, Ichigo 100%, I felt the same way about the ending. Although he did have to pick in the end... I think a harem ending would have been worse.

But for Negima, I probably wouldn't complain if the mangaka left things open.. and I say this probably because if Negi does pick, it'll almost assuredly be Asuna and not Nodoka 😐

He needs 2 freiking pick a girl already.almost all the girls like him.just pick 1!!

I saw this poll thing while I was surfing the net. When I saw what people said I registered on this site just to post a reply.

I see that a lot of people are saying that Asuna will likely be the one but I have gone to lots of other forums and other people like me say that if he ends up with Asuna the manga will end up being too much like Love Hina and that is not a good thing. It would look like a recycled plot.

I also see that some people here have a problem with relationships that have too large an age gap or one that involves student and teacher. I have always been a believer of love is blind. I hate society's unwritten rules. To me age is not a problem. Today we think couples with different race, religion or nationality are fine, so why not couples with an age gap?

Look at it this way:
83 year old man + 88 year old woman
Not weird right?
How about...
10 year old boy + 15 year old girl
Weird?...
Why do people think the second one is weird? Both situations involve a 5 year age gap. It is the same banana.

As for the student-teacher thing, why should it be wrong if the student truly loves the teacher and is not doing it to raise his/her grades and the teacher isn't doing it to take advantage of the student.
