Why is it a Love Hina ending if he choose Asuna they don´t have a promise like Keitaro und Naru... and is the reason becuse Asuna look like Naru then Chisame has simliar chances (she looks also like Naru i think).

Chisame is FOR sure Naru lol - just like Seta is (older teacher that Asuna had a crush on that i cannot remember the name of but it was somthing like Tacamichi) there are a lot of recycled characters i think but this is not a detraction from the story

I agree that Asuana is not Naru though and i personally dont think he will pick her as his mate - though ya she may be his partner.

They said earler on that Negi could not make a perm pacto because he was young and when he did it was usually only one person but his father Nagi seems to have had a pacto with his entire team (and mind you they were all guys. . .)

I think it is perfectly accptable for Negi to fall in love with one and still have the other on his team

I might point out SirLoki that there ARE more ways to make pactios than just the kissing. it said so at the very time Chamo is introduced. As for me, I don't have a particular choice......Well, maybe Yue. As far as what will actually happen, there is almost a RULE in manga that the guy will end up with the first girl who he met. However, the best ending along romantic lines would probably be for Akamatsu to leave it open, like what was done in Tenchi Muyo. However, if we follow the rule, Asuna would be the choice that will probably be made by Akamatsu. And harems people? Come on. I mean, I suppose you are all males, but really, you need SOME morals. but w/e I cannot be one to judge. And if nothing else, making the ending an acceptable harem would be nearly impossible. However Akamatsu ends it will be fine with me. However, I think everybody who likes him DOES need to confess to him before the end of the manga.

Anyway, My personal pick is Yue, with Nodoka, Chachamaru, and Chisame close behind with Asuna 5th. But whatever Akamatsu decides will be okay with me. And i know what you mean with Ichigo 100%.

I really do think Toujo should have got him; I think she loved him the most. Anyway. It is a poll, so i shall make my choice of neutral.

Like some others, I don't mind the ending too much (whether it's a single person, a harem, or it's left open), though I am cheering for Nodoka. As long as the story flows well, I'm happy 🙂 (I'd find the evil mage/multiple partner scenario amusing at an intermediate (close to the end) stage of the story.)

Besides the character interactions and personalities in the story, another (silly) reason that I'm cheering for Nodoka are the parallels to Shinobu. Because Shinobu is much younger than Keitaro, she has no chance with him over the course of the story (approximately a 10-year time jump from the beginning of Love Hina (LH) would be needed to make a pairing viable). The age barrier for Nodoka is reversed and less extreme, so if she's patient (maybe not even that patient with the help of Eva's resort), there could be a nice juxtaposition with LH (long live the RHGP! ... j/k). Negima has a parody aspect -- or at least it was part of Akamatsu's original intent to have parody parallels to LH as indicated by an interview listed in a bonus chapter on mangafox, if I read correctly -- leading to subversions of various romance, romantic-comedy, and manga-specific situations, so I wonder if there'll be a deliberate subversion of LH at the end (which could be done with many of the characters, though I have a slight preference for it happening Nodoka).

One ending I'd like to give particular consideration is a non-harem multiple permanent pactio one. I think that a powerful mage might have to capacity to make multiple permanent pactios.

[url]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pactio#Process_and_Other_Facts[/url] Also, are Eva's partners, Chachamaru and Chachazero, permanent? There may be reasons for someone wanting to keep just a platonic relationship with Negi, leaving another person the option of being a romantic partner. ! For Chao, if for some unusual reason she returns to Negi's time and stays, she wouldn't get romantically involved with him. What if Asuna were related to him (spoiler because of possible hints in recent chapters)? Sure, romantic relationships with those close as cousins are accepted in Japan, but they might not be comfortable with the prospect of a romantic relationship in that case and it might be easy for her to stay by his side as an older sister-type.
Or maybe Konoka and Negi becoming a couple (doubtful, but they might have awesome mage children) and Konoka becoming his ministra while Setsuna stays as her ministra.

I hope that all the characters get happy endings (I'm a sucker for sappy endings, particularly in light-hearted comedies). I'd digress into Kotaro pairings, but it's getting late ... IMO, I feel that Konoka pactio partnering (not convinced that it'll be a romantic relationship, though) with Setsuna will eventually happen (unless one of them dies early).

Forming a permanent pactio with the opposite sex usually means he/she will eventually go on to get married or become couples. So I think the mangaka will not say who Negi loves at the end, but will instead show him having a permanent partner which would mean that person would eventually become Negi's life partner. I have been rooting for Asuna from the beginning coz I sure as hell dont wanna see her end up with Takamichi and she gets along so well with Negi so I they just deserve each other. However the recent story seems to be indicating that Asuna and Negi will never end up together

Well I don´t think it will be an open ending becuse in Ken Akamatsu previous works aren´t open endings ok I haven´t read A.I Love you yet...

well i had some pretty bad thoughts tha Asuna is Negis Sister(read the Negima Discusions Threat i don´t want to rewrite it becuse its too long
:) and if i am righte (i don´t hope it) then it´s a Final choice without Asuna but i don´t think its clear up till now

I think Ken Akamatsu should continue with the story however he will, but personally I would end with everyone graduating and Negi leaving denying Nodoka who I see being the one to win. The thing is if Ken Akamatsu finds something to make a new story he could jump 4-6 years which would solve the age problem between them. If it's 4 years Negi could visit them on graduation and start it that way if he wants to. Between 5-6 years Ken Akamatsu could start any number of ways. There is plenty of untapped potential. Just an opinion.

yup, next up would be nodoka i guess, then ako, then asuna. i really don't think it should be asuna though, cos itd be cool if akamatsu has a break from tradition, no? and it can't be asuna cos shes too much like an older sister and is a bit tomboyish, and likes takamichi and has confessed to him.

I think it would be cool if it's like after the girls are out of middle school for a few years (and negi is pissed at most of them for the sex jokes he couldn't understand) and then negi runs into all of his students and he just remembers "o shit im supposed to be F*cking one of them" and then the hilarity and RAPE ensues 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀

Why aint anybody suggest a harem route? It's not like I'm into that kind but I just have a feeling that if they were not all together, it would not be fun anymore. I love all of the girls in the story and I want all of them to stay together. 😛
